TOWIE’s Yazmin Oukhellou is stable and recovering in hospital after surgery, her representative has confirmed.

The reality TV star was involved in a car crash in Turkey that killed her 33-year-old on/off boyfriend Jake McLean.

Their car reportedly come off a cliff in the tourist resort of Bodrum in a tragedy at the weekend, according to The Sun.

Oukhellou’s representative said: “Yazmin is stable and recovering in hospital after surgery. Yazmin and her family have requested privacy at this time.”

Reports previously emerged claiming the TV star has suffered “extremely serious” damage to her arm.

Oukhellou and McLean confirmed their romance in December.

However, by January, their romance appeared to be over as Oukhellou told her fans they had split on Instagram.

A TV insider told The Sun: “It’s beyond shocking, just devastating for everyone connected to the show.

“Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles, and while he wasn’t a saint this is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”

Oukhellou made her Towie debut in 2017 and her romance with co-star James Lock played out in front of the cameras.

Many TOWIE stars flooded social media with their prayers and sadness in the wake of the tragedy.

Among them, fellow Towie star Harry Derbidge wished Oukhellou a speedy recover and posted pictures of them together on his Instagram account.

Lauren Goodger broke her silence on the death of her ex boyfriend McLean to say her thoughts were with his family and friends.

A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesman said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities.

“We are also providing support to the family of a British woman who has been hospitalised.”
