TOWIE's Lydia Bright 'worried sick' and struggling to sleep as gran rushed to hospital

The Only Way is Essex alum Lydia Bright has revealed that she was "worried sick" and struggled to sleep earlier this week after her grandmother was rushed into hospital.

The reality TV star, 31, recalled the experience on social media yesterday, telling her 1 million followers on Instagram that seeing her loved one getting old is "frightening."

She shared the story alongside a photo of her own daughter Loretta, who turns two later this month, sat on the lap of 'Nanny biscuit' - who is Lydia's grandmother, Maureen.

Lydia told her followers that her grandmother was rushed to hospital on Tuesday, with her spending the day with the reality TV star after being discharged on Wednesday.

She wrote alongside the photo: "Another reason I slept so bad last night, I was worried sick. Nanny biscuit was rushed to hospital yesterday after some worrying test results.

"Thankfully she was discharged this afternoon. So we spent the afternoon together, drinking tea and eating biscuits. I cried, she cried, seeing my nan getting old is so frightening."

The TOWIE alum - who starred on the series between 2010 and 2017 - later took the opportunity to reminisce about her childhood, posting another photo of her loved ones.

Alongside the snap, which was similar to the first photo that she had shared, she recalled having visits from her grandmother every week when she was younger.

She commented in the post: "Every Friday, as a child I would sit by the door so excited waiting for my nan. We would have the most magical sleepovers and bake cakes all day."

Lydia however told fans that it's her grandmother who now waits for the weekly visits, with the TV personality describing their interactions at the moment as "priceless."
