TOWIE's Lauren Goodger shares emotional lyrics after tragic death of newborn daughter

Reality TV star Lauren Goodger has shared her heartbreak after the tragic death of her new-born daughter Lorena.

On Sunday, Lauren, who found fame on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex, shared an emotional statement with her 809,000 Instagram followers. The post confirmed that baby Lorena died on July 8, although no details were shared on what caused her death.

In her first post since the heart-breaking announcement, the 35-year-old took to her Instagram stories to share an emotional clip of a song - Celine Dion's A Mother's Prayer. The simple, but emotional message, was shared with a heart-broken emoji as the ending of the song played out.

The lyrics read: "Lead her to a place, guide her with your grace, to a place where she'll be safe." Previously, the star asked for privacy while the family dealt with their grief.

Over the weekend, sharing the news to her followers, Lauren shared a black and white photograph of her holding hands with her daughter, as she wrote: "R.I.P 08.07.22 she was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.

"I am broken. I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet, please can I ask photographers to respect our privacy right now as we have a lot of grieving to do and funeral organising that I just need this time & with my baby girl Larose she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive.

"I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day … My Lorena I love you so much."
