TOWIE's Lauren Goodger 'devastated' after ex moves in with 'close' family friend

TOWIE star Lauren Goodger is reportedly "devastated" after finding out her ex-boyfriend has moved in with one of her "closest family friends" after striking up a relationship together.

The 36-year-old was left “blind-sided and upset” after learning that Charles Drury is now dating someone she has known for over 10 years.

According to the Mirror, a friend of both women said: "The new relationship has caused huge ructions. Lauren has known her for years, and counted her as a very close friend.

"She even helped comfort Lauren when she lost the baby. She’s devastated that she is now not only seeing her ex, but that he has moved into her home. Lauren doesn’t care that Charles is dating in the slightest, but the fact it’s someone she considered a confidante."

This is the latest in a string of heartbreaking events to happen to Lauren.

The pair have one child together - a daughter named Larose (Instagram)

She was recently left "broken" after her daughter Lorena was stillborn on July 8 - just minutes after she was born.

She was then allegedly assaulted on the day of her baby’s funeral. Ex-boyfriend Charles, with whom she has a one-year-old called Larose, was later arrested and bailed following the incident.

The reality star has previously said how she was focusing on “self love” and “slowly getting back to normal life”.

The friend added: “Lauren is trying to keep her spirits up, but this has hit her for six, it’s come at a terrible time - emotionally she is vulnerable. She is amazing the way she is coping with it all, being a single mum and grieving.”

Lauren has previously opened up Lorena’s traumatic birth. She was hoping to give birth at home, but was rushed to hospital when her midwife could no longer hear her baby’s heartbeat.

“I never ever thought I would have to plan a funeral for my child,” said the devastated TOWIE star.

“It shouldn’t happen. It breaks my heart that I won’t see her grow up.”

She learned the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck in the womb.

Despite the best efforts of medics who tried to save the baby, Lorena was tragically pronounced dead. A postmortem has been ordered to determine exactly what went wrong.

“I’m not getting anywhere by blaming myself,” Lauren said at the time.

She added: “I have to try and move forwards and accept it. First, I need to understand it. She was just perfect.”

She has locks of her daughter’s hair, and carries around a photograph of her in a locket.

Drury was approached by the Mirror for comment but declined.
