Tower Hamlets: Police hunt man over 2017 rape near Dalston Junction Overground station

Police investigating a 2017 rape in Tower Hamlets want to find this man in connection with the attack.

The alleged rape took place on February 4 2017 in Tower Hamlet’s Kingsland Green, close to Dalston Junction Overground station, police said.

But it was only reported to detectives on August 19 this year, prompting a probe by the Met’s east London Public Protection team.

The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers, a Met spokesperson said.

Detectives have followed up a number of lines of enquiry and said they were on Thursday releasing an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 or message @MetCC on X quoting reference CAD 2597/19AUG.

You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
