
A man has been charged following reports of a person armed with a knife at a mosque in east London, the Met Police has said.
Sajjit Miah, 40, of Old Church Road, was charged on January 5 with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
Police were called at 12.30pm on January 3, following reports of an incident at a mosque in Ford Square, Tower Hamlets.
There were no injuries following the incident.
Miah was remanded in custody was due to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Thursday, 5 January.
