Amazon shoppers can get their hands on a top-rated air fryer at an impressive reduction that's available on the site now.
Prime Day is underway and the retailer has made further reductions on the Tower T17039 Xpress Pro 5-in-1 Digital Air Fryer now just £79.99 from £119.99 for a 33 percent saving.
The appliance has soared to popularity as the latest kitchen must-have and as an energy saving counterpart to the conventional oven. If you've been eager to make the cooking switch, Amazon Prime Day is the perfect time to buy a more costly model at a budget friendly price.
The air fryer, which has garnered over 13,000 shopper reviews, comes with a major 11-litre capacity and is available in black. The Tower T17039 Xpress Pro 5-in-1 Digital Air Fryer is also available with trendy rose gold trimming for £10 more at £89.99.
Similarly, shoppers can also get the Tower T17038 Xpress 5-in-1 Manual Air Fryer which has dials instead of digital controls. This model is also on sale now from £129.99 to £89.99, reports Birmingham Live.
The manual version had gone out of stock when we just checked so we'll focus on the digital option which we think is a bit more up-to-date anyway. The features include:
- Stainless steel
- Black with a silver-grey trim, or black with a rose-gold trim
- 11-litre capacity
- Digital control panel
- Automatic switch-off
- 60-minute manual timer
- Overheat protection
Amazon's description of the product says it uses Vortx air frying technology that's exclusive to Tower air fryers. This rapidly circulates hot air around food, cooking up to 30 percent faster than a conventional oven and requires little to no oil.
So you could save up to 70 per cent on your energy use compared with a standard oven, with potential savings of £198 a year. You can cook chips in 15 minutes and sausages in under 20 minutes.
The air fryer resembles a miniature version of a conventional oven. It has one interior compartment that can be used like a rotisserie or stacked with metal shelves to cook multiple foods at the same time and make a complete meal. For the rotisserie function, there are spit and handle accessories to roast a whole chicken in less than an hour, turning it as it cooks.
The gadget comes with a standard one-year guarantee and chance to add a two-year extension if you register it online.
To get going, just plug the air fryer in at the wall and away you go. Instruction booklets give a guide cooking times for various dishes and you can open the door or drawers during cooking to check things or to turn or shake foods.
Shoppers have rated the air fryer a 4.6 rating out of five, with one pleased customer saying: "This product is simply amazing, i was one of the last in my social circle to give one of these a try after being sceptical , i picked mine up in a sale ofc cause i still wasn't convinced, but how wrong i was.
"This thing will do it all meat / seafood / veggies even dehydrate your fruits for cereal, very easy to clean comes with a nice 3 year extended warranty very well built and so easy to set up, after you your 15 min trial run to burn off any left over manufacturing substances (tells you to do this in the manual) and a quick clean down on the utensils your all set to get cooking so 45 mins roughly after it arrives and your good to go, can't recommend this enough, probably the best [buy] for me of the year."
Unlike deep fat fryers, you don't have to pour in cooking oil - though for some items (such as if you are roasting vegetables) it's recommended to brush with a little oil first as you would in a regular oven.
If you want to consider other brands, there is also a big discount on the Ninja Foodi AF300UK Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer which has a 7.6 litre capacity with two cooking baskets. It's down in price on Amazon by 23 per cent from £219.99 to £169.99.
