Overall leader Jonas Vingegaard tightened his grip on the Tour de France by winning stage 18 on the Hautacam mountain on Thursday after dropping defending champion Tadej Pogacar 4km from the finish.
Denmark's Vingegaard now leads Pogacar by 3min 26sec with just three stages left in the race.
The pair hugged at the finish line after also sharing a memorable moment earlier when the leader waited for the two-time defending champion, who had fallen on the last descent, to catch up.
