A vehicle procession is set to take place in memory of a young man man who died in a crash. A 19-year-old man who was driving a van died after a single vehicle collision on Victoria Street, Newark, on Thursday, May 18, .
Dozens of flowers have been left at the scene in tribute to the young man. In an effort to honour him, family and friends have organised a large vehicle procession for Monday, May 29.
A convoy of vehicles will travel through the town, and there will also be blue balloons and people wearing blue to celebrate his life. Following the incident a fundraiser was set to for his family, which at the time of writing, has so far raised almost £3,000 from more than 100 supporters.
The fundraiser states: "It is with heavy and burdened hearts that close friends and family have created this Just Giving page to support the family. This fund will help cover the financial burdens that come along with such a tragic loss. During this time of feeling helpless, we can all come together to provide financial relief and support.
"We appreciate your kindness and help during this difficult time."
