The name of a popular new Merseyside restaurant has a touching reason to it.
Emily's on Brows Lane in Formby opened in November, with it proving a hit with people across Merseyside with it's leafy decor and classy vibe - but not many people know the reason behind the venue's name. Co-owner Andy Henry told the ECHO how he and his partner, Kate McConnell, suffered heartbreak when their daughter, Emily Henry, was stillborn on September 3, 2015.
He said: "Kate went full term and went into labour. I rang the hospital and they told us to wait until the contractions got worse. When she went in they monitored her but when she gave birth we lost her.

"Almost a year later to the day we welcomed Max, our son. Kate was induced and we moved the date because initially it fell on the anniversary of Emily's birth. We wanted to honour her and remember her. Now we also have Faye, who is four, Max is now six."
Andy said the decision to name the bar came about "organically" when he and business partner, Danny, were having a beer after working on the restaurant last year. Emily came up in conversation and Danny asked whether they could name it in her memory.
The 37-year-old told the ECHO: "While it was an organic event, I hope that by naming the restaurant after her I can turn that pain into something positive for years to come. It's my way of keeping her close to my heart and sharing her with the world.
"The passing of Emily was devastating and it was a perfect way of honouring her. Naming it after my daughter was a perfect way of reflecting her."
Now, Andy and Danny are looking to raise money through a contactless wishing well in the corner of the restaurant. The money is being raised for The Honeysuckle Team, who are the dedicated baby bereavement team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust, caring for women and their families following pregnancy loss at any gestation, and early neonatal death.
Andy said: "Following Emily’s birth, me and my partner Kate were able to stay in the bereavement suite for a few days with our daughter, while The Honeysuckle Team’s specialist bereavement midwives not only provided emotional support but also practical support, to help us through such a difficult time.
"We’re hoping that any money raised will help The Honeysuckle Team to continue to support more families who have sadly lost a baby."
