King Charles III's first visit to Wales as king was made even more special for one little girl who got to present the Queen Consort with a posy. Thousands of people have turned out to welcome Charles and his wife on their first visit to Wales since the death of the Queen. The new King and Queen Consort arrived in Cardiff on Friday for the first time since Queen Elizabeth II died aged 96 last Thursday.
A historic day for Wales was made even more memorable for one little girl who got the chance to meet Camilla outside Llandaff Cathedral. Five-year-old Keira Hillebert, attending with her mum and dad Krisi and Jordan, presented a posy to the Queen Consort and even got to shake her hand.

“She just grabbed her hand and said,:‘I’m Keira’,” mum Krisi said. Keira received her British passport on the day the Queen passed away. Her parents are from Atlanta, Georgia, but Keira was born in Wales. Krisi said that the Queen Consort had asked Keira if she had been practising her curtsy because she did “such a good job" while Jordan added: “All our family back home got up early to watch” with their 12-year-old nephew back in America even donning a suit for the occasion.
Charles and Camilla attended a prayer service at Llandaff Cathedral before meeting of members of the Senedd in Cardiff Bay and a private audience with Mark Drakeford at Cardiff Castle on Friday. You can follow all the latest updates on the King's first visit to Wales on our live blog here.
