Footage shows the moment a crowd burst into the national anthem following the Queen's death.
Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday, September 8, The Queen's death at Balmoral. The palace said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow. "
It came after Buckingham Palace released a statement stating concern for the Queen’s health. Following the news, Merseyside, along with the rest of the Commonwealth, has entered a ten day period of mourning.

A number of flags in Merseyside were lowered on the evening of the Queen's death, including Liverpool Town Hall, the Cunard building, Runcorn Town Hall, Widnes Municipal Building and Widnes Masonic Hall. Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Wirral also announced all council buildings would have their flags lowered.
Footage from outside Rainford Village Hall, in St Helens, from the evening of September 8 shows a crowd of musicians break out into God Save The Queen. Tributes have been paid across the borough of St Helens as well as wider Merseyside.
The clip was shared on social media where it has received almost 1,000 likes and many comments. One comment said: "Beautiful, how proud I am to live here. Lovely community spirit. Well done everyone"
The Leader of St Helens Borough Council, David Baines said in a statement: "The thoughts and prayers of everyone in St Helens Borough are with the Royal Family at this tragic time for them, and for us all.
"Throughout her entire life Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth provided leadership which defined post-war Britain. Through her outstanding and selfless public service she gave us stability and strength and was our one constant in an age which saw significant change in almost every other part of our lives.
"In the coming days and weeks we will mourn, and we will reflect on her remarkable life with awe and gratitude. May she rest in peace."
