Tottenham XI vs West Ham: Son starts - Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for game today

Tottenham have brought Yves Bissouma into the side to face West Ham in the Premier League.

A hard-fought 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest last time out maintained Spurs' unbeaten start to the season as they ticked off the first of a seven-game run across 24 days.

“It's normal, when you have to play one game every three days, to make rotation," Antonio Conte told reporters on Monday. "The player has to be intelligent to understand sometimes to go on the bench, to come in, to alternate.

"This is the moment. This is the period the club can understand if we are really, really complete in the squad or maybe we will do better."

Cristian Romero and Oliver Skipp are working towards fitness, with Skipp on the bench but it comes too soon for the defender. Lucas Moura is facing a longer spell on the sidelines.

Conte added: "[Romero and Skipp] did the training session with us today. We have to wait, to tell that [if] they are completely recovered, but this is a good sign for us, for the player.

"[Lucas] has inflammation in his tendon. I hope to recover him very soon, [but] you know very well tendon inflammation doesn’t finish in only one week, two weeks. [Bryan] Gil is still not available but in two or three days he will start to work and to recover."

Wing-backs Ivan Perisic and Emerson Royal keep their places, as Ryan Sessegnon, Matt Doherty and Djed Spence miss out again.

Rodrigo Bentancur suffered concussion against Forest and is not involved, meaning Bissouma steps up, while Heung-min Son again endured a fruitless afternoon in attack at the City Ground but keeps his place.

"Probably in the future you will see Richarlison in the starting lineup. If the game against West Ham, Fulham [on Saturday] or Marseille [next week]. Then I have to decide,” Conte said.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Perisic, Kulusevski, Son, Kane.

Subs: Doherty, Skipp, Richarlison, Sessegnon, Forster, Spence, Tanganga, Sarr, Lenglet.
