Tottenham XI vs Leicester: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for friendly game today

Heung-min Son returns for Tottenham as they take on Leicester in a pre-season friendly in Bangkok today.

The South Korean forward is now back in training, having missed out on the first match of the Ange Postecoglou era in Perth on Tuesday - a five-goal thriller against London rivals West Ham.

Spurs are still without Tanguy Ndombele, who sat out the West Ham loss with an ankle knock, while Eric Dier is on the bench but there’s no Joe Rodon or Djed Spence.

Postecoglou had already confirmed that Dane Scarlett was unavailable, telling reporters: “Obviously there were a couple who missed out last time who are available. We’ve also got a big squad here so not everyone will play.”

Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon are still injured for Spurs, as well as Fraser Forster, which means new signing Guglielmo Vicario continues in goal. Hugo Lloris has been left at home as he looks to secure a move away this summer.

Tottenham field a strong starting lineup in Thailand with James Maddison playing against his former club after a £40million exit last month.

Full-back Destiny Udogie also starts after impressing off the bench against West Ham.

Tottenham XI: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Davies, Udogie, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulusevski, Son, Kane

Subs: Whiteman, Royal, Reguilon, Dier, Tanganga, Skipp, Lo Celso, Sarr, Perisic, Solomon, Richarlison

Injured: Bentancur, Sessegnon, Forster, Parrott, Scarlett

Absent: Lloris

Time and date: 11am, Sunday July 23, 2023

Venue: Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok
