Tottenham XI vs Bournemouth: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Richarlison is on the bench as an unchanged Tottenham team host Bournemouth.

The Brazilian has not played since leaving the pitch in tears after just a few minutes against Southampton before the international break, in what proved to be Antonio Conte’s final match in charge of Spurs.

However, Richarlison has returned to first-team training, after being named on the bench last weekend, and will hope to be involved in the home clash against the Cherries, though Cristian Stellini warned the forward that patience is still required.

“We have only Richy, with one week training with us,” Stellini told reporters on Friday. “We have to take care with him, to give him training, and the right timing to play. To not take risks.”

He added: “Sometimes [players] hide their condition to try to play, to have one possibility to score, to do something good. But now when you live experience like Richarlison this season, maybe they can grow in their mindset. I hope that Richy understands that we are taking care of him.”

Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon both remain out for Spurs, with the pair not yet ready to be involved in group training, while Stellini insisted Tottenham must “respect the time” with Yves Bissouma’s recovery as his comments suggested the midfielder is not close to a return.

Stellini will be on the touchline despite his red card in last week’s win over Brighton, but Lucas Moura remains suspended after he was sent off against Everton at Goodison Park.

The interim Spurs boss called for a more attacking approach from his side, but it’s likely to be the same 3-4-3 system. Pedro Porro and Ivan Perisic continue as wing-backs with so many of the other options in that position injured, while Oliver Skipp once again partners Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield.
