Tottenham vs Marseille: Kick off time today, prediction, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results

Tottenham are back in the Champions League, with their return beginning against Marseille tonight.

After a two-year absence from Europe’s elite club competition, Spurs face a potentially tricky opener against a French side who have made a flying start to their domestic season.

Marseille are joint-top alongside Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 and are unbeaten in their opening six games under new manager Igor Tudor.

But Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are favourites to progress from Group D, which, as well as Marseille, features Sporting CP and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham vs Marseille prediction

This is not the relatively easy game some fans may have anticipated when the group stage draw was made.

Spurs are unbeaten so far this season, but so are Marseille. Injuries could play into the hosts' hands, but their French opponents have only conceded three times in six games and scored 13.

Marseille will be equally wary in what is their toughest game of the group. A win for either team could prove invaluable come their second meeting in November.

Spurs to win, 3-2.
