Looking to bring an end to their dreadful six-game winless run in the Premier League, struggling Tottenham Hotspur welcome relegation battlers Leicester City to North London on Sunday afternoon.
Ange Postecoglou’s side suffered a bitterly disappointing 3-2 defeat to Everton last weekend, their third consecutive league defeat, following on from 2-1 losses to Newcastle and Arsenal in Gameweeks 20 and 21.
Due to their awful run of form lately, Spurs now find themselves in 15th place in the English top-flight table, just eight points clear of the relegation zone and their Gameweek 23 opponents, and a whole 16 points adrift of the top four.
Despite their disappointing showings in the league, Tottenham have recorded a few positive results in cup competitions in recent weeks. They have defeated both Manchester United and Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and overcame Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Foxes, meanwhile, are also enduring a poor run of form, with their 2-0 defeat to Fulham at the King Power last weekend making it seven straight losses and eight straight games without a win in the Premier League.
It’s a run that, unsurprisingly, means that Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side remain in the relegation zone in 19th place heading into the weekend’s action, two points adrift of safety and eight points clear of bottom side Southampton.
Leicester and Tottenham have already met once this term, back in Gameweek 1, where the newly-promoted Foxes marked their return to the top-flight with a 1-1 draw at home despite initially going behind.
Another loss for Spurs and this will see the Tottenham relegation odds slashed again.

Spurs’ injury woes were worsened in midweek, as it was confirmed that star striker Dominic Solanke has been ruled out of action for the next six weeks after picking up a knee injury.
He joins Brennan Johnson (calf), Timo Werner (thigh), Wilson Odobert (thigh), Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Destiny Udogie (thigh), Micky van de Ven (thigh) and Yves Bissouma (thigh) on the sidelines.
Pape Sarr (knock) and Cristian Romero (thigh) are back in training, however the pair are major doubts for the Foxes’ visit.

As for the visitors, they are without long-term absentee Abdul Fatawu (knee), as well as Wilfred Ndidi (thigh), Mads Hermansen (groin) and Ricardo Pereira (thigh) due to their respective concerns.
