Tottenham faced League One side Ipswich Town in a behind closed doors friendly on Thursday afternoon as the two sides kept stars fresh during a week without football due to international commitments. The Lilywhites were managed by Ryan Mason and Cristian Stellini as Antonio Conte missed the clash.
The Italian coach is spending time back in Italy over the two-week break, leaving his other trusted coaches in charge of things while he is away. Conte often returns later in the first week of an international break as he spends time with his family at his Turin home in Italy.
football.london understands that that remains the case this time, though there is plenty of talk surrounding a potential decision to be made by Daniel Levy. Reports continue to claim that the chairman is in the process of a potential change in management at the club, but it remains to be seen if that will happen.

Should the manager return to his usual duties next week, he will be boosted by some returns in the Ipswich clash on Thursday. Club captain and veteran shot-stopper Hugo Lloris made an appearance in a match that wasn't the regulation 90 minutes, along with Japhet Tanganga and Lucas Moura.
The trio were the only first-team stars to feature, with the latter two managing to find themselves on the scoresheet in the match. It wasn't enough for the management duo of Mason and Stellini to earn a win though as the Suffolk side fought back to earn a 3-2 victory.
While the minutes will be a boost for the trio that are back in the fold once again, it remains to be seen exactly how much they'll play at the latter stage of the season and whether it will be under Conte again.
