Tottenham fought from two goals down to deny Bournemouth a victory that would have boosted their Champions League qualification hopes, after goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga conceded a late penalty for a foul on Son Heung Min.
Andoni Iraola’s stylish, high-energy team deservedly led thanks to goals either side of half time from Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson, with the Cherries on their way to moving into sixth place in the Premier League table.
But Spurs, who were booed off at half-time, pulled one back through Pape Matar Sarr’s miscued cross, before Kepa came rushing off his line looking to reach a through ball only to instead foul Tottenham skipper Son.
Son stepped up to dink his penalty down the middle, rescuing a point for Tottenham after back-to-back defeats. It lifts some pressure on Ange Postecoglou ahead of Thursday’s Europa League last-16 second leg against AZ Alkmaar, with Spurs trailing 1-0.
Bournemouth remain 8th in the table and will wonder what could have been after blowing a two-goal lead. Follow all the reaction from Tottenham 2-2 Bournemouth below.

Andoni Iraola's verdict
16:51 , Jamie Braidwood“Before coming here, it's probably not a bad result, a draw and one point.
“But after how the game went and the way we performed today, definitely we are not happy going with a point. I think we should have won this game, but we have to be more efficient.
"It's not just about the performance at the end of the season, you have to win the games that you are better in and I think we were better, but we have to make the difference in both boxes.”
Bournemouth 'disappointed' with blowing two-goal lead
16:34 , Jamie BraidwoodGoalscorer Marcus Tavernier on Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
"You can see how far we've come in a couple of seasons. We should have put some more chances away but going 2-0 up, we have to see the game out. Everyone is disappointed in there but we can't dwell on it too much.
"Today we could not take our chances and we need to really work on that. We have to take it a game at a time but we know what is at stake. Every game now is important with 10 games left, we have to focus on bringing home as many points as possible."

Ange Postecoglou admits Tottenham showed 'nervousness' against Bournemouth
16:25 , Jamie BraidwoodAnge Postecoglou, speaking to Sky Sports, on Tottenham’s comeback against Bournemouth:
"At 2-0 we had a bit of a mountain to climb. It was a chaotic game today and the boys showed a real mentality. It would have been really easy at 2-0, with the atmosphere in the stadium, to let it slip away from us but they fought hard and got themselves back in the game.
"It was a different kind of struggle for us today. Bournemouth pressed really well and we were really sloppy with the ball at times which allowed them to pin us back. It wasn't anything like Thursday but we hung in there.
"There is definitely a sense of nervousness there. We are getting players back who have been out quite a while.”

Son Heung Min: 'We've got to stay calm'
16:10 , Jamie BraidwoodSon Heung Min looks ahead to Thursday’s must-win clash with AZ Alkmaar.
"Obviously things are a bit stressful but at this time you have to stay calm and perform and do the basic things and do the simple things and we'll come out of the tunnel.
"But we can't make it complicated for ourselves, we have to just get our head down, look forward and work hard."
Tottenham still 'disappointed and frustrated' despite comeback
16:03 , Jamie BraidwoodSon Heung Min talks to Sky Sports:
“Still disappointed and frustrated not to get three points. Bournemouth have been outstanding this season but 2-2 is not good enough for us at home.
“Thursday was unacceptable from us. Today as well I think in the first half we were sloppy. When your confidence is down, you do things you don’t normally do... it happens.
“Thursday [against AZ in the Europa League] is a massive game.”

A lack of quality from both sides as we approach the final whistle, with Kluivert squaring a pass straight out of play.

Far too pedestrian for Spurs at the moment, considering they should be chasing a winner. They’re passing it around in their own third!

It’s the visitors applying all the pressure in added time so far, though Spence does well to shepherd Ouattara off the ball.

It’s Bournemouth’s turn to threaten after the equaliser, but Ouattara narrowly misses slipping through the final pass.
Vicario collects the long throw but he’s in no rush to restart play just now.

GOAL! Son steps up to take and he sends Kepa the wrong way with a cushioned effort.
Sort of looked like a scuffed panenka attempt but they all count!

PENALTY! Tottenham 1-2 Bournemouth
15:41 , Chris Wilson82 mins
PENALTY TO SPURS! It’s blatant, and it’s so bad from Kepa.
Son latches on to a through ball in the box and he’s almost taking it out of play but Kepa has come so far off his line and he dives for it, taking Son out for an obvious penalty.
The challenge was made not too far from the edge of the box!

Spurs aren’t out of this one yet but they’re running out of time and you can tell in their play. Too much has been sloppy when in possession.
Take nothing away from the Cherries though – their pressing has been brilliant, as have some of their attacking combinations.

OFF THE POST! It’s a great attack from Bournemouth as they win the ball in the centre circle before Semenyo finds Kluivert’s overlapping run, and the Dutchman hits the inside of the post with a low driven effort.
Tottenham 1-2 Bournemouth
15:28 , Chris Wilson69 mins
Almost a ridiculous goal for the Cherries. Bergvall passes it back to Vicario and the ‘keeper takes a poor touch back towards his net. He’s under a lot of pressure from Semenyo and the winger almost slides in to score, but the Spurs ‘keeper just about manages to clear.
GOAL! Tottenham 1-2 Bournemouth
15:26 , Chris Wilson67 mins
GOAL! A strange effort but they all count!
It’s brilliant if he meant it. Sarr picks up the ball in a crossing position on the right, just outside the box, but he seemingly mishits his cross and it deceives Kepa, bouncing off the post and in at the far corner!

Tottenham 0-2 Bournemouth
15:25 , Chris Wilson66 mins
OFF THE POST! Spurs are almost back in it immediately!
Bergvall rattles the post with an effort from distance, but the ball comes back off the woodwork.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-2 Bournemouth
15:23 , Chris Wilson65 mins
GOAL! The hosts have doubled their lead now!
It’s a lovely finish from Evanilson too. Kluivert receives the ball on the turn just within the final third and he lets it run across his body to lose the defender before slipping in a perfect through ball.
Evanilson had made the run to cut across van de Ven and he’s 1-v-1 with Vicario, and he lifts a cushioned effort over the ‘keeper for 2-0.

Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:22 , Chris Wilson63 mins
A chance for Spurs now as Maddison exchanges passes with Son before cutting outside the defenders and laying it off to Sarr, who fizzes an effort well wide from just outside the box.
A poor effort in truth, considering how much space had opened up between him and the goal.
Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:20 , Chris Wilson62 mins
OFF THE POST! Not sure if he meant it but what an effort from Kerkez. He receives the ball on the overlap and mishits the cross from an angle, and it cannons off the woodwork! It looks like Vicario got a hand to it.
Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth

Spurs have been better this half but they’re still lacking that final bit of quality. Postecoglou decides to make two more changes, with James Maddison and Micky van de Ven come on for Bentancur and Romero.
Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:18 , Chris Wilson59 mins
Some more quality on show from Bournemout as Christie plays a great switch to start a counter that ends with Semenyo winning a corner.
From the set-piece, Hill heads wide from a difficult angle.
Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:14 , Chris Wilson55 mins
End-to-end stuff to start the half once again here. The visitors look dangerous when they get froward but Spurs are on top for now.
There’ll be a brief break as Bentancur is down following a tough challenge from Cook.
Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:1253 mins
Spurs had started this half as the better side but that goal has reminded them of what the visitors are capable of.
The hosts do go very close though, as Son cuts inside and tries to find the far corner with a curling effort, but it’s deflected and goes inches wide of the post.
DISALLOWED GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:10 , Chris Wilson52 mins
DISALLOWED GOAL! The hosts double their lead, but there’s a check for offside...It won’t be given.
It all comes from a good Spurs chance, as it’s played forward to Semenyo, who drives towards the box before squaring a perfect pass to Kluivert, who finishes well.
Semenyo had drifted offside in the build-up though.

Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
15:06 , Chris Wilson48 mins
Odobert’s deflected shot nearly falls for Solanke, but it’s poked away at the last. Spurs have started with plenty of tempo here.

KICK-OFF! Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth

HALF-TIME! Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
14:56 , Chris WilsonA tough half for Spurs here. They’ve looked off the pace in truth, and they find themselves behind at the break.
Bournemouth have been good value for their lead and could have had more – they’ve had by far the better chances so far.
It should be an intriguing second half in the capital.

Bournemouth threaten another counter but Bissouma ends it with a late sliding challenge. He’s booked too.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth
14:45 , Chris Wilson41 mins
GOAL! The visitors are ahead!
It’s a brilliant goal too, with Hill intercepting Porro’s pass near his box and bursting into acres of space ahead of him.
He makes it all the way into the final third unchallenged, and he delivers an inch-perfect cross to the back post that Tavernier arrives to bundle in!
What a ball that was from the Cherries defender.

Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:43 , Chris Wilson40 mins
Spurs seem to have recovered from their shaky start then, but they still haven’t pieced together any real quality chances.
Porro is the latest to give away the ball and ruin an attack...
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth

Half a chance for the hosts now as Odobert gets away down the right and makes his way into the box, only to scuff his cross.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:36 , Chris Wilson34 mins
The game’s become a bit more scrappy now, with a few niggling fouls from each side.

Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:34 , Chris Wilson31 mins
A great sliding challenge from Kerkez in his own area just manages to stop Johnson from putting in a dangerous ball.
From the corner, it’s another poor routine and the Cherries defend it easily enough.
There’s not been a lot of quality on the set-pieces from Spurs.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:31 , Chris Wilson30 mins
Another booking here as Bentancur flies in on Kerkez. A tad harsh probably.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:30 , Chris Wilson28 mins
Spurs win another free-kick in a similar position on the right but it’s headed away again, before Sarr puts too much on his follow-up cross.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:27 , Chris Wilson26 mins
It’s another wasted free-kick for Spurs as it ends with Romero giving away a foul. A few players are looking rusty for the home side.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:25 , Chris Wilson25 mins
It’s certainly calmed down a bit here, though it’s still pretty end-to-end stuff.
Porro wins a free-kick in a dangerous area on the right as he’s taken down by Semenyo.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:24 , Chris Wilson22 mins
Half a chance for Spurs as Porro works the space for a cross from deep. Solanke gets th glancing header on it but there’s very little power and it’s straight at Kepa.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:22 , Chris Wilson19 mins
A great flick in the box almost turns a cross into a great goal, but it’s straight at Vicario.
The home fans are getting a little restless here, with the hosts giving away possession yet again.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:19 , Chris Wilson17 mins
Better from Spurs as Porro makes a good run into the box and forces Kepa to turn away his cross.
However, the Cherries counter well and Tavernier sweeps it across to Kluivert, who skips past Romero and forces the defender to bring him down on the edge of the box.
It’s a free-kick right on the edge of the ‘D’.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:15 , Chris Wilson14 mins
Little flashes of quality all over the pitch so far, but neither side has been able to put the finishing touches on an attack.
Johnson and Huijsen are the latest two, with Johnson initially making a brilliant run before some great covering defending from the Spaniard.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:14 , Chris Wilson12 mins
Romero gives it away again near his own box but fortunately for Spurs it isn’t an easy chance to capitalise on.
The Argentine is looking rusty at the moment, though we should give Bournemouth’s high press some credit too.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:11 , Chris Wilson10 mins
Some lovely play from Spence on a couple of occasions already, and his latest venture forwards ends with Odobert’s goalbound shot requiring a block.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:10 , Chris Wilson8 mins
Plenty of action to start with in north London then!
Adams almost creates another chance with a sliding tackle, but he’s penalised for a foul.
Spurs have looked to keep possession over the last few minutes as they hope to settle.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:08 , Chris Wilson6 mins
Great play from the hosts this time as Spence receives a brilliant pass on the overlap before his cross wins a corner.
From the set-piece, Solanke’s header requires a block from a Bournemouth man near the goal line.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:07 , Chris Wilson5 mins
Another chance for the Cherries as Romero’s pass to Bissouma is poor, putting him under a lot of pressure. Kluivert comes in to nick the ball away and he’s one-v-one with Vicario, but the ‘keeper makes a good save.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:05 , Chris Wilson3 mins
Spurs have given possession away cheaply a couple of times already, and twice in dangerous areas too. The hosts haven’t managed to settle at all yet.
It’s Bournemouth who are the first in the book though as Marcus Tavernier gets a yellow for a trip.
Tottenham 0-0 Bournemouth
14:03 , Chris Wilson1 min
Oh my word! A hugs chance within 15 seconds as Romero inexplicably tries to square a pass across his box and plays it straight to Evanilson.
The Bournemouth man is 1-v-1 with Vicario but he’s under pressure and can only direct his shot too close to the ‘keeper.
Nothing comes from the corner, but what a start!

Bournemouth have lost three of their last four Premier League games (W1) – as many as they had in their previous 18 (W10 D5).
Head-to-head
13:45 , Chris WilsonThese two sides have met a total of 16 times in the past, with Spurs winning 11, Bournemouth winning three and two ending as draws.

Djed Spence: Everyone at Tottenham is behind Ange Postecoglou
13:40 , Jamie BraidwoodDjed Spence insisted everyone at Tottenham was behind manager Ange Postecoglou and eager to turn around their season.
Before the second leg with AZ on Thursday, Spurs switch focus back to a faltering Premier League campaign and welcome Bournemouth to N17 on Sunday.
The reverse fixture in December saw the Cherries claim a 1-0 win and Spence forced to usher boss Postecoglou away from a small section of angry away Tottenham fans at Vitality Stadium.
Asked about the incident, Spence reflected: “He’s the manager of the football club, you know. He’s the manager and we are a team and a family.
“We believe in what he wants us to do. We try to implement that in every game. Of course it’s not going to work in every game, but the manager has our full support.
“We are all behind him and we want to show that by winning games. We didn’t win (Thursday) but come next week, we’ll get the win.”

Ange Postecoglou determined to keep Tottenham’s focus on Bournemouth
13:20 , Jamie BraidwoodAnge Postecoglou has stressed Tottenham cannot overlook the visit of Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday despite next week’s crucial Europa League last-16 tie with AZ Alkmaar.
Spurs were punished for a lacklustre display at AFAS Stadion on Thursday and a 1-0 first-leg loss means the prospect of silverware this season hangs in the balance.
Before Tottenham attempt to reach the Europa League quarter-finals, Bournemouth and highly-rated boss Andoni Iraola arrive eager to increase the heat on Postecoglou.
“The biggest game of the season is Sunday first,” Postecoglou said.

Manchester City draw Bournemouth as Preston host Villa in FA Cup quarter-finals
13:05 , Flo CliffordBournemouth have drawn Manchester City in the quarter-finals, somewhat unfortunately, as they’re the last remaining ‘big six’ club in action.
But Iraola’s men have shown they can hold their own and more against the big guns in the Premier League, and with Pep Guardiola’s side off the boil this season there’s still a strong chance the Cherries could come away with silverware at the end of the season.

Team news

Evanilson leads the line once more, with in-form Antoine Semenyo on the wing.
Team news
12:56 , Chris WilsonAnge Postecoglou has made six changes to the side that fell to defeat against Alkmaar, with Cristian Romero returning to the side for the first time since December. He takes the place of Archie Gray, while Pedro Porro also returns to the defence in place of Destiny Udogie.
In midfield, Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma come in for James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall.
Dominic Solanke is fit to start against his former club despite his injury scare, and he replaces Mathys Tel, with Wilson Odobert taking Son’s place on the wing.

Team news
12:40 , Chris WilsonThe line-ups should be released in the next five minutes, so here’s a reminder of the early team news...
Ilya Zabarnyi is serving the third and final game of his three-match suspension for his red card against Wolves in their recent Premier League loss, while the likes of Enes Unal and Marcos Senesi will continue to watch from the sidelines.
One possibility is Ryan Christie, who is suffering from “something chronic”, according to Iraola.
The big question mark for Spurs is over ex-Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, who returned from seven weeks out with a knee injury against AZ Alkmaar only to limp off with another issue. Ange Postecoglou described it was a “knock” in his pre-match conference so he could be available for the visit of his former club.
Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were both on the bench and could feature this time out, while Ben Davies has returned to training but is still a doubt.
Bournemouth move into FA Cup quarter-finals after shoot-out win over Wolves
12:30 , Flo CliffordBut Bournemouth got their revenge over Wolves with a thrilling penalty shootout victory last weekend to send them into the FA Cup quarter-finals for just the third time in their history.
The Cherries won 5-4 after the game finished 1-1 in extra game, and had yet more drama as Wolves striker Matheus Cunha was sent off for a moment of madness as he clashed with Milos Kerkez.
Bournemouth have had a week to rest and recover from that triumph, while Tottenham have a quick turnaround from Thursday’s Europa League defeat.

Bournemouth suffer top-four blow as Wolves boost Premier League survival bid
12:20 , Flo CliffordThat loss to Brighton was a second successive defeat for Bournemouth, who will be looking to pick up more points and get their push for Europe back on track against Spurs.
Bournemouth missed the chance to go top four with a narrow 1-0 loss to Wolves the game prior, when they had Illia Zabarnyi sent off in the first half.
Zabarnyi will sit out their visit to Tottenham as he serves the final game of his three-match suspension.

Danny Welbeck helps Brighton lay down marker in European battle with Bournemouth
12:10 , Flo CliffordBournemouth sit seventh overall and are in a tight battle for the final European places, but their ambitions were dented in a 2-1 defeat by Brighton in their last Premier League outing.
The Seagulls’ victory took them level with the Cherries on points, leading to a nervy run-in for Andoni Iraola’s side.

Ange Postecoglou fumes as Tottenham ‘nowhere near’ standard in Europa League defeat
11:50 , Flo CliffordPostecoglou was less than impressed with his side’s display, with Tottenham taking until the closing stages of normal time to even register a shot on target.
“We’ll analyse it and have a look at the areas where we struggled with, but it’s fair to say it was nowhere near the level it needed to be,” he said.
Of course they have the second leg to turn this around, which they must do to stay in with a shot at any silverware at all, but the first-leg loss is another blot on an underwhelming season.

Guglielmo Vicario urges Tottenham to come together for European success
11:35 , Flo CliffordThe match was mostly notable for an incident involving Guglielmo Vicario, who spared Spurs’ blushes by keeping the deficit to just one goal.
He went over to the travelling fans at full-time and appeared to gesture to them to support their team, but was met with anger rather than appreciation.
“I can understand the frustration of the fans, but we still have a lot to play for, especially in the second leg. It’s just a way of trying to stay together because we have the opportunity to go through to the next round,” Vicario said.

Comical own goal condemns Tottenham to embarrassing Europa League defeat
11:20 , Flo CliffordSpurs had an evening to forget against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, with Lucas Bergvall at fault for a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Europa League tie.
His sliced clearance of a Troy Parrott shot diverted into his own net, and as Spurs failed to respond it was enough for a first AZ victory against English sides in 12 games.
Ange Postecoglou’s men had eight days to prepare but the rest didn’t seem to do them any good.
