Tottenham transfer update as Fabio Paratici's deadline day plans for Spurs revealed

Antonio Conte's Tottenham squad will finally be given a refresh on transfer deadline day with incomings and outgoings expected to take place in north London.

Identifying three key areas in the team that needed strengthening at the start of the month, Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski are set to join the club.

The former will give Conte more options in the middle of the park, while the latter can play in a variety of different positions in attack.

Fabio Paratici and the Lilywhites have also looked at bringing in a new right-wing back ahead of Monday's 11pm transfer deadline but the Juventus duo may be the club's only incomings before the window slams shut.

football.london understands that Tottenham will continue to monitor for any late opportunities that will arise in the market up until the deadline, but the expectation is that Kulusevski and Bentancur will be the only two arrivals on deadline day.

Kulusevski, who arrived in London on Sunday night and was expected to stay in The Lodge at the club's training base, has since completed his medical at the club, with the transfer now just waiting to be officially announced.

Bentancur, on the other hand, is currently away with Uruguay on international duty with his medical taking place in South America ahead of his switch to north London.

Atletico Madrid's Yannick Carrasco has been linked with a deadline day move to the club.

Spurs had enquired about the Belgian international earlier in the window but are not understood to have taken that any further since.

As well as incomings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today, all eyes will also be on the players who head out of the door.

Bryan Gil, who only joined the club in the summer from Sevilla, has returned to his homeland ahead of the transfer deadline and looks set to join La Liga side Valencia on loan for the remainder of the season.

Tanguy Ndombele is also heading back to his home country and will return to former club Lyon despite previous links with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Fellow 2019 summer arrival Giovani Lo Celso could also move on before the deadline following his omission from the Tottenham squad to face Chelsea last time out, with Villarreal linked with the Argentina international.

Dele Alli may also be on the move before the window closes for business with first-team opportunities just not there for him under Conte.

Everton have been linked with the attacking midfielder but the Toffees can now only sign him permanently with the Manchester United's Donny van de Beek set to take up their final Premier League loan spot.

Barring any late developments, Steven Bergwijn is expected to stay at Tottenham after Ajax saw a bid for him rejected earlier in the window.

No recent negotiations between the clubs are believed to have taken place.

Finally, Tottenham are looking for a few prospective loan deals for development squad players.

So far this month Kion Etete, Jack Clarke and Nile John have all headed out on loan to pick up some vital first-team experience.
