Tottenham transfer round-up: Spurs eye 'new Bale' after record Richarlison transfer

Tottenham’s busy transfer window shows no sign of slowing following their club record £60million purchase of Everton forward Richarlison.

Ever since blasting their way past Arsenal last season to claim that final Champions League slot, the North Londoners have been announcing one summer signing after another.

On Friday, Richarlison was confirmed as their fourth addition so far as chairman Daniel Levy fulfils his pledge to back manager Antonio Conte to the tune of £150m in the transfer market.

That means there will be plenty more business in the coming days and weeks to further fuel the growing optimism among the N17 supporters.

Here, Mirror Football looks at the latest Tottenham rumours:

Two defenders arriving soon

Deals for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence and Barcelona centre-half Clement Lenglet are edging ever closer.

Spurs-web.com are reporting that Fabrizio Romano made that claim during an Instagram live broadcast this week.

Spence, 21, who starred on loan in Nottingham Forest’s promotion-winning campaign to the Premier League, will cost £15m plus add-ons..

The North Londoners’ move for 27-year-old Frenchman Lenglet is initially likely to be on loan deal.

Yilmaz move could be on

Reports in Turkey suggest Spurs have confirmed their interest in Besiktas defender Rıdvan Yılmaz.

The Premier League club were first linked with the 21-year-old left-back in March and, according to sports newspaper Fanatik, are among a number of clubs chasing his signature.

The versatile Turkey international, also wanted by German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, can operate either as a left full-back or wing-back.

‘New Bale’ targeted

St Mirren teenage sensation Murray Campbell, who is being likened to a young Gareth Bale, has caught the eye of Tottenham, according to Football Insider.

At just 15, the Scottish whizz-kid is considered the brightest young talent north of the border and has appeared in pre-season action with St Mirren..

Which is why Spurs face stiff competition for the starlet’s signature from several English rivals, including Southampton, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Wolves.
