Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says that Spurs are “playing with fire” if they fail to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes.
With a growing injury list, the Australian coach has made it clear that reinforcements are essential for a successful second half of the season.
Spurs Face Injury Crisis Ahead of Leicester Clash
Following a hard-fought Europa League victory against Hoffenheim, Tottenham now turn their focus to an upcoming Premier League fixture against Leicester City.
However, their injury woes continue to mount, with striker Dominic Solanke ruled out for six weeks due to a knee issue.
Other key players sidelined include Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, and Wilson Odobert.
Djed Spence, Yves Bissouma, and Pape Sarr also remain doubtful, leaving Postecoglou with limited options.

"It’s just injuries. I mean you can walk outside and say; 'jeez it is really bright', and say to yourself 'maybe it is not the sun'.
"But it is the sun, mate, we’ve just got injuries.

Tottenham Transfer News: Only One Signing So Far
Despite the injury crisis, Tottenham’s only signing in the January transfer window has been goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
Postecoglou has urged technical director Johan Lange and chairman Daniel Levy to act swiftly before the window shuts on Monday, February 3.
“I have daily communication with Johan, and he’s trying everything possible to bring in the help we need,” Postecoglou said.
“We’re playing with fire by not bringing anyone in, but the club is working hard to change that.”

Will Tottenham Sign New Players Before the Transfer Deadline?
With limited time left in the transfer window, Tottenham need to move quickly to bring in reinforcements.
Several positions require urgent attention, particularly in defence and attack, where injuries have significantly weakened the squad.
The club have been heavily linked with moves for Liam Delap, Tyler Dibling, and Manchester United target Patrick Dorgu.
Fans are anxiously awaiting news of potential signings as the club looks to turn around its recent poor form.
Since their emphatic 5-0 win against Southampton on December 15, Spurs have picked up just one point—a 2-2 draw against Wolves—leaving them in the lower half of the Premier League table.
Postecoglou Remains Optimistic Despite Tottenham’s Struggles
Despite the current struggles, Postecoglou remains confident that Spurs are in a stronger position compared to when he took over from Antonio Conte in the summer of 2023.
“I firmly believe we are in better shape now,” he said. “The squad we have is exciting, and once everyone is fit, the club will benefit for years to come.”
The Spurs boss is hopeful that key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven could return in time for their crucial Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg clash against Liverpool on February 6.
