Tottenham transfer news and rumours: Alessandro Bastoni talks, Spurs linked with shock Marcus Rashford bid

Tottenham are preparing for a mega summer transfer market in their bid to deliver Antonio Conte an improved squad.

After securing Champions League football for next season, the Italian coach is intent on growing his team with players across the pitch targeted.

Ivan Perisic has already arrived from Inter Milan on a free transfer while another former Conte star, Alessandro Bastoni, has been heavily linked with the club.

Middlesbrough wing-back Djed Spence is also a reported option and Spurs have even been linked with a potential bid for Marcus Rashford.

Here is our morning round-up of the latest Tottenham transfer rumours...

Alessandro Bastoni

Tottenham are in talks with Inter Milan over a deal for centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, according to Sky Sports.

Inter have even identified Cagliari’s Gleison Bremer as the Italian’s replacement, according to local media.

Speaking to Rai Sport after featuring in his country’s 2-1 win over Hungary last night, he stated: “I have a two-year contract with Inter, so I'm very calm. The club hasn't said anything to me. I am focused on the national team, then I will go on vacation and then I start pre-season at Appiano with Inter.”

Tottenham entered talks with Marcus Rashford’s camp about a surprise switch from Manchester United earlier this summer.

That is according to football agent Roberto De Fanti, who has told Caught Offside about the Red Devils’ demands of £80million for the forward amid interest from Italian and Spanish clubs.

However, no teams seem keen to meet that fee with the Spurs deal in particular described as “impossible”.

Djed Spence

Tottenham are in advanced talks to land Djed Spence from Middlesbrough for £15m, according to the Northern Echo.

Nottingham Forest continue to battle the north London club ahead of their Premier League return, having had Spence on loan for the last 12 months.

Yet Spurs have pulled ahead in negotiations with the club confident of sealing the deal, as Forest turn their attention to Manchester City’s Issa Kabore.
