Tottenham told Kane, Son and Kulusevski advantage Antonio Conte has over Mane, Salah and Diaz

It isn't long until arguably the two best front three's in the Premier League will face each other at Anfield. Whilst Liverpool are fighting to keep their place at the top of the table, Tottenham are continuing their battle in the top four race.

On Tuesday and ahead of Liverpool's 3-2 victory over Man United, Jurgen Klopp praised Spurs, despite their 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday. "You see Tottenham flying in the moment and then get a little drop [at the weekend], but the quality they have is incredible," Klopp admitted.

Antonio Conte's side had won their previous four games, before welcoming Brighton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and losing all three points that were up for grabs. Both Liverpool and the Lilywhites have six games left of the season, as they continue to battle for points in every match.

What has helped both teams this season is their front three players. At Anfield on Tuesday, all four of the goals were scored by their front three and so were the registered assists, with one also coming from substitute Diogo Jota.

Not only does Klopp have the quality in the depth of his squad that Conte doesn't, with the likes of Jota, his side have been able to produce consistency throughout the season to help them remain in the battle for the league title. Spurs' display against Graham Potter's side reiterated this consistency issue and the Italian doesn't have the quality needed on the bench, to bring on players that can change games week in, week out.

Just a few days ago, Paul Robinson gave his verdict on both side's front three. "The [Luis] Diaz signing has been great for them. But when you are talking about a set front three that play week in, week out then Spurs do have the best in the Premier League," the former Lilywhites keeper admitted.

"Liverpool and Man City rotate their forwards. They do not have a consistent front three.

"You probably couldn’t pick a best three out of [Mohamed] Salah, Jota, [Roberto] Firmino, [Sadio] Mane and Diaz. If you are looking for a best three combination you cannot look beyond [Harry] Kane, Son [Heung-min] and [Dejan] Kulusevski," Robinson added.

The January transfer window saw a number of players linked with Tottenham, including Diaz. Fans were excited by the prospect of the 25-year-old making a move to the capital and linking up with Son and Kane.

However, Liverpool swooped in to seal the deal and Spurs instead went for Kulusevski, who they signed on deadline day. That means both players have only had a few months at their new clubs, but both have already made an impact.

Diaz has made four less appearances (8) than the Swede but the duo have scored the same amount of goals. Kulusevski has provided five more assists (6) than the Liverpool signing.

The 21-year-old also has more shooting success than the Colombian and has more passing accuracy. Diaz has had more shots on target but Kulusevski has also shown his impact defensively, making more interceptions and tackles than the former Porto player.

Mane and Kane were the two playing in the middle for their clubs in each of the most recent fixtures. The England captain has made two more appearances (31) than Mane, but scored two fewer goals.

However, this season has seen a particular emphasis on Kane's ability to create goals, as well as score and the Tottenham striker has registered eight assists, to the 30-year-old's two. There is further emphasis on the Englishman's team play, as he has created more big chances (17), made more passes forward (239) and produced more through balls (20) than Mane this season.

Son and Salah are the two top goalscorers in the Premier League currently, with the latter scoring five more than the South Korean. The Egyptian has also registered double the assists Son has.

The Tottenham man has produced 159 crosses to Salah's 35 and has made more of an impact defensively, producing more interceptions, clearances and successful aerial battles. However, there is no denying the 29-year-old's impact as he has produced more passes, through balls, shots and tackles than Son.

Statistics don't mean everything in football and there is high quality in both teams. Liverpool have the advantage in the fact that they have the likes of Jota and Firmino that they can rotate with the front three who started against Man United.

Conte has Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura that he can rotate in the front three too but, although both have made an impact in games this season, they struggle to do it consistently. It will be an interesting spectacle when the two sides face each other in a couple of weeks but Paul Robinson has already made his view clear, even if he is siding with his former club.
