Tottenham team confirmed vs West Ham: Son and Perisic rested as Skipp starts in derby

Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini have named the team they believe can beat West Ham and take Tottenham back into the top four in the Premier League on Sunday.

Conte is currently in Italy recovering fully after returning too early following emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder this month. The 53-year-old has liaised with his assistant Stellini over selecting the Spurs starting line-up to face David Moyes' Hammers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There were a few key decisions for the Tottenham coaching duo to make following the 1-0 Champions League defeat in the San Siro against AC Milan on Tuesday night.

The shining lights of the team that night were 20-year-old Pape Matar Sarr and 22-year-old Oliver Skipp in a young midfield pairing. However, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg back after his suspension one of the youngsters had to be dropped to make way for the experienced Dane and Skipp's experience of a number of derbies over Sarr's one last month made the difference.

Ben Davies comes in at left wing-back to hand Ivan Perisic a rest while Emerson Royal continues in place of Pedro Porro at right wing-back.

Up front, all of Spurs' attacking trio struggled in Milan and Conte and Stellini had to decide whether to bring in one or more of Richarlison, Arnaut Danjuma and Lucas Moura to freshen things up and in the end they went for Richarlison, with Son Heung-min dropping to the bench.

Here is the Tottenham team Conte and Stellini have selected:

Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Davies; Kulusevski, Kane, Richarlison. Subs: Austin, Sanchez, Tanganga, Porro, Sarr, Perisic, Lucas, Danjuma, Son.
