Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson has stated his desire to find a new club after seeing a summer transfer collapse.
Tottenham and Arsenal were both linked with the £21million-rated Dane, who was on the verge of a move to LaLiga side Sevilla before Gala pulled the plug.
“It was very close with Sevilla,” he is quoted by Tipsbladet as saying. “The flight was booked, but [the move] did not materialise.
“I think that Galatasaray blocked the transfer. It's no secret. They didn’t find the offer good enough.
“There has been interest and offers from clubs that I really want to join. I would have liked to have moved.”
Nelsson, 24, is rumoured to have a release clause in his Galatasaray contract as he begins his third campaign in Turkey.
Such is his desire to move, the centre-back has confirmed a decision not to renew his contract past its current 2026 expiry - potentially hastening his sale in upcoming transfer windows.
“I have had some talks with them,” he added.
“I informed them after the last international break that I don’t want to extend my contract. I have three years left on my contract and I just can’t see myself extending another year.”
