Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a potential major injury blow ahead of Sunday's meeting with Liverpool, as Son Heung-min was withdrawn from their clash with Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The South Korean international was taken out of the action in the 28th minute at the Stade Velodrome after sustaining a head injury. Son appeared dazed as he was helped off the field by Spurs medical personnel and went straight down the tunnel as he was replaced by Yves Bissouma.
Although the 30-year-old has not been at his best this season, he has been one of the standout forwards in the Premier League since his arrival in north London and last term he shared the Golden Boot with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

Son now looks to be a huge doubt for a crucial fixture for both teams this weekend. Like Jurgen Klopp, Spurs boss Antonio Conte has a number of injuries in attack to contend with, as Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have also been sidelined as of late with problems.
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses in the Premier League in the capital, with Nottingham Forest and Leeds United getting the better of the Reds in their previous two outings.
Spurs must avoid defeat in the south of France to ensure qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League. Liverpool are in action against Napoli at the same time, with progression to the last-16 already confirmed.
