Tottenham striker Dane Scarlett has signed a new long-term contract with the club, keeping him in north London until the summer of 2026. The 18-year-old is considered one of Tottenham's most exciting prospects and made seven first-team appearances this season.
Antonio Conte's side secured their place in next season's Champions League on Sunday with a 5-0 win against Norwich City, pipping arch-rivals Arsenal to fourth place. It now gives Spurs the perfect opportunity to strengthen significantly during the summer transfer window and cement their spot in the top four.
But that does not mean they are not looking to the future as well. The academy has had an increasing first-team influence in recent years with the likes of Japhet Tanganga and Oliver Skipp regularly featuring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Scarlett is seen as another who can make that step in the future and the club were delighted to secure his future.

"We are delighted to announce that Dane Scarlett has signed a new contract with the club that will run until 2026," the club wrote in a statement. "The 18-year-old forward has made seven first team appearances for us this season, most recently as a second-half substitute in our 4-0 win over Leeds United in February.
"Dane has also helped England Under-19s to qualify for this summer’s European Championship, held in Slovakia, with six goals in five appearances, including a brace in a 2-0 win over Portugal during the March international break."
The player himself could also not hide his delight at putting pen to paper on a new deal, saying: "I'm really proud and excited to see what holds in the future. It's been something I've been working towards this year and now it's happened, I'm just happy to be here and still enjoying my football. As long as I'm still focused and keep working hard, then everything will plan out for me."
The news comes just days after ENIC, the club's owners, provided a cash injection of £150million ahead of the summer transfer window. There has been plenty of speculation regarding how much Conte would be backed in the transfer market this summer but Daniel Levy has been eager to emphasise their ambition.
"The delivery of a world-class home was always a key building block in driving diversified revenues to enable us to invest in the teams and support our ambitions to be consistently competing at the highest levels of European football,” said Levy. "Additional capital from ENIC will now enable further investment in the club at an important time."
