Tottenham star Ivan Perisic gets last laugh over Man Utd's Antony amid Neymar World Cup moment

Tottenham star Ivan Perisic finally got the last laugh over Manchester United ace Antony in the World Cup quarter-final clash between Croatia and Brazil on Friday. The duo clashed twice during the game - and there was a Premier League moment that immediately came to mind.

Perisic struggled to deal with Antony in their clash back in October, where United managed to win the game 2-0 at Old Trafford. The wing-back faced off with the tricky skillset of the winger and got frustrated to the point where he lunged in for a challenge, but completely missed both the ball and his opponent.

The World Cup saw a matchup between their two nations in the quarter-finals of the tournament in a hugely tense matchup that ended goalless. It took the match to extra-time, where Neymar opened the scoring with a mazy run that saw him dance his way towards smashing the ball into the back of the net.

The Selecao weren't able to hold on though as a counterattack saw them ripped open and Bruno Petkovic equalised, sending the game to penalties. Rodrygo and Marquinhos both missed their spot kicks and consequently meant that Brazil wouldn't add another World Cup to their collection this time round.

Perisic also got the last laugh over Antony with not only the win, but how it came about as he not only managed to deal with the winger, but it was his failure to track back that caused the beginning of the phase of play for the equaliser in extra time. After the game, there was a touching moment with Neymar though.

Perisic's son Leonardo went over to console the Brazil forward as families were allowed on the pitches, though a security guard looked to stop them. Neymar allowed them through though for a touching moment, even despite his despair from being knocked out of the tournament.
