Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has signalled his pride after breaking the all-time Premier League away goalscoring record against Brighton & Hove Albion. The striker found the back of the net in the second-half after Cristian Romero had given Spurs the lead with a deflected effort before the break.
Kane ’s goal took him to 95 goals away from home in the Premier League - one more than Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney. Taking to Instagram after victory on the south coast, Kane expressed his delight at three points, his new record and suggested that he will be looking to add more strikes to that total.
He wrote: "Good bounce back win which we gotta follow up on Sunday before the international break. Proud to break the PL away goals record, more to come."

Kane’s remarkable record is even more outstanding considering that he managed to achieve the feat in just 139 away Premier League appearances. In an interview with the BBC, he suggested that he will cherish the record but suggested that Alan Shearer’s overall record remains in his sights starting with this weekend’s clash with West Ham United.
The England man said: "A nice record to have I think playing away from home in the Premier League is tough playing against really good sides. To know that I’m scoring goals and helping my team get important victories like tonight is a nice one to have. As always, we keep on going and hopefully score a few more now until the end of the season.
"I think they’re [records] great to have, especially when you achieve them and people talk about them after. I guess there’s stuff I always say maybe after my career it will sink in but for now it’s always onto the next one. Obviously we’ve got a home game against West Ham so hopefully I can score a couple of home goals."
Despite a slow start to the season, Kane now appears finally back on top form having netted seven goals in his last six Premier League games. His strike against Brighton takes his season tally to 22 in all competitions.
