Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a woman was shot near a party in north London.
The victim, 24, was hit in Tottenham in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police and paramedis were scrambled at 6.28am to reports that someone had been shot at the junction of West Green Road and Grove Park Road.
Nobody with injuries was found but after further inquiries they tracked the victim to a nearby hospital.
She had been taken to a north London hospital without the assistance of the emergency services. She remains in hospital undergoing treatment and is in a serious but stable condition.
Investigators are hoping that partygoers who were still in the area can provide information.
Officers are also trawling through CCTV footage from the area.
