Tottenham set to sign Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur in late January double swoop

Tottenham are set to complete the double signing of Juventus pair Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur as part of a frantic finale to the January transfer window at the north London club.

Kulusevski is due to fly to the capital today with the duo to become Antonio Conte's first signings as Spurs head coach after managing director Fabio Paratici raided his former club.

The signings of Kulusevski, a promising forward, and Uruguay midfielder Bentancur should pave the way for Bryan Gil and Tanguy Ndombele to join Valencia and Lyon, respectively, in loan deals.

Kulusevski, who Paratici signed for Juve from Atalanta, was named Serie A’s young player of the year in 2019/20 and has made 27 appearances for the Bianconeri this season, albeit just seven from the start.

The versatile Sweden international, 21, is a left-footed forward who predominantly plays from the right but should increase Conte's options across his front line.

The deal for Kulusevski could reportedly be worth more than €40million (£33.2m), with the Swede set to arrive on an initial 18-month loan deal for €10m (£8.3m).

Spurs will be obligated to sign him permanently for £25m if they return to the Champions League and he plays more than 50 per cent of matches.

Spurs could pay around £19m for Bentancur, having agreed a deal worth £15m up front and a further £4m due in potential add-ons.

The Uruguay international has been a Juve regular for four-and-a-half seasons, helping them to win three Scudettos, and will compete with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp for a place in Spurs' midfield.

His arrival is set to end Spurs' interest in Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat, for whom they had lined up a loan move.
