Tottenham set to rival Man United for £63m star as Antonio Conte makes transfer decision

Tottenham are set to rival fellow Premier League top-four hopefuls Manchester United later this summer in a bid to persuade Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to join the club.

Milinkovic-Savic, 27, has long been courted by the Red Devils and with newly arriving boss Eric Ten Hag set to be in the dugout next season, Spurs are ready to launch their own proposals later this year.

The Lazio midfielder has been with the club since 2015 but had been rumoured to have fallen out with boss Maurizio Sarri as the then January window approached.

With PSG also said to be interested in the former Genk man, many questions have been asked over his immediate future, with Spurs boss Conte also known to be a 'keen admirer' of the Serbian international.

Italian giants Juventus have also said to have entered talks with the player's agent, as SportWitness insist the Lilywhites aren't a club who cannot be ruled out just yet.

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito will be willing to negotiate if he receives a bid of around €75-80m this summer but circumstances are said to depend on whether or not the club in question does qualify for the Champions League.

Conte has also been linked in recent weeks with former midfielder Christian Eriksen returning to the club, with the potential also there to turn Rodrigo Bentancur's loan deal into a permanent one too this summer.

Harry Kane's future in N17 also remains a particular sticking point, given his tedious links with Manchester City. The England international did of course remain at the club following multiple failed bids from Pep Guardiola's side.
