Tottenham hold a 'secret weapon' as Antonio Conte aims to hijack Josko Gvardiol's proposed transfer to Chelsea next summer.
Spurs signed seven new players in the summer transfer window, spending over £100million on the likes of Richarlison, Djed Spence and Ivan Perisic. Conte has made it clear with his comments to the media that he wants to continue adding more players to his squad in January to help Tottenham's push for a top four finish in the Premier League.
The Lilywhites are three points clear of Manchester United but sit eight points behind Arsenal at the top of the table. The appeal of Champions League football will be crucial if Spurs are to secure deals for their key targets, but Conte could look to use players in his current squad to help his chances of signing players next summer.

According to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Conte is hoping that Croatia international Ivan Perisic can help him secure a deal for his compatriot Josko Gvardiol, with both players representing their country at the World Cup in Qatar. Spurs want to buy a new central defender next summer and intend on signing Gvardiol, who has been heavily linked with a move to London rivals Chelsea.
Perisic is said to be actively trying to convince his young international team-mate to snub the Blues in favour of a move to Tottenham next summer. RB Leipzig are set to ask for a fee in the region of £70million to part ways with their star defender and Conte is keen to strengthen his defence which is considered the key area in helping his team play the way he wants.
The reports also suggests Spurs are following the growth of Croatian defender Bosko Sutalo who plays for Dinamo Zagreb. Conte will be hoping his 'secret weapon' Ivan Perisic can help him secure deals for the defenders he wants next summer.
