Chelsea striker Beth England is reportedly close to joining Women's Super League rivals Tottenham in a deal that promises to smash the British transfer record for the WSL.
According to Sportsmail, England will make the switch to Brisbane Road in January for a fee of £250,000. The 28-year-old joined Chelsea from Doncaster Rovers Belles in 2016 and has since gone on to register 45 goals in 99 appearances for the Blues.
England also has 11 goals in 21 games for the Lionesses and featured in Sarina Wiegman's EURO-winning squad last summer, though she didn't play a minute in the tournament. Despite her impressive goalscoring return, she has struggled for game time at Chelsea this season, making just two league appearances this term.

With next summer's Women's World Cup on the horizon, England is keen to work her way back into the Lionesses picture after being omitted from Wiegman's last two international squads.
The striker reportedly said goodbye to her Chelsea teammates on Friday following the Blues' victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. She will be a welcome addition to Rehanne Skinner's side, who have netted just 11 goals in nine league games this season and currently sit eighth in the WSL table following a string of bad results.
It is hoped England will be able to help turn the tide for the Lilywhites when the WSL returns to action in January.
The move is set to obliterate the current British transfer record set by Chelsea's Lauren James, who made the £200,000 transfer from Manchester United to Chelsea in 2021.
Fellow Lioness Keira Walsh holds the record for an English player moving abroad, with her summer move from Manchester City to Barcelona costing in the region of £400,000.
