Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. However, football.london understands that the club has no intention of selling the Danish international.
It comes after a standout season for Hojbjerg, who was only behind Harry Kane in terms of playing time at Spurs, with 3,986 minutes played. While his form had taken a hit midway through the campaign, his bravery and leadership shone throughout.
This was certainly the case when he played through several injuries to help guide Antonio Conte's thin squad to a fourth placed finish. Speaking in the heat of the top four battle, the Italian was full of praise for his midfielder.

"Pierre, no one asked me about him," Conte said in April after a 5-1 victory over Newcastle. "But I think in every game he is doing a fantastic job, with the ball, without the ball, strong physically."
football.london understands that Hojbjerg plays a big role in the Spurs dressing room and is part of the leadership group that has helped drive the club back into the Champions League, demanding the best from his colleagues.
However, reports had begun to suggest that Spurs could entertain bids for the 26-year-old following by the acquisition of Yves Bissouma from Brighton. The Mali international joined for roughly £25million as the third summer signing.
The statistics when comparing the two are similar, according to FBRef. Bissouma's pass completion and dribble completion see him in the 91st and 90th percentile of Premier League midfielders respectively, while Hojbjerg is in the 90th for pass completion as well as the 92nd for passes attempted and 88th for progressive passes completed.
Taking a glance towards the defensive attributes, Bissouma also ranks highly in tackles, interceptions, blocks and clearances. His midfield counterpart is similar, ranking especially high in the final two.
It suggests that rather than one replacing the other, they could instead complement each other, with the club not looking to entertain any offers for the Dane.
