Last season, Tottenham were battling with Arsenal and Man United for a spot in the top four. Antonio Conte's side secured the Champions League spot and finished just three points behind Chelsea.
It has also been a good start to the season for Spurs, with them securing all three points in their first fixture against Southampton. Arsenal won in the first game of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, beating Crystal Palace on Friday night.
Chelsea got all three points at Goodison Park, with a 1-0 victory over Everton. Meanwhile Man United failed to pick up any points in their first fixture under Erik ten Hag, against Brighton.

Now it is time to look ahead to those upcoming fixtures and football.london compares Tottenham's next six, to their top four rivals.
Chelsea (A) - August 14
Spurs haven't won at Stamford Bridge since 2018, so it isn't a ground fans will be expecting three points from. However Saturday's game showed the improvement Conte has implemented and they will hope to take some momentum into the London derby.
The Blues also still seem to be in a bit of a transition period and have lost a fair few players so, for once, will that play in Tottenham's favour? Supporters will very much hope so.
Wolves (H) - August 20
In the last fixture between the two sides in N17, Wolves came out on top and it was a poor display from Conte's team. Whether Tottenham manage to get points against Chelsea or not, they will hope that being back on home soil will help them secure all three points against Bruno Lage's side.
Nottingham Forest (A) - August 28
The first fixture of the season against a newly promoted side for Spurs and they will travel to The City Ground over the bank holiday weekend. Forest will play Man City three days after the Lilywhites, so it will be a big week for them, but Conte will hope his side can come out on top.
West Ham (A) - August 31
Never an easy game for Tottenham against West Ham, especially at the London Stadium. Spurs' last two trips across London to face the Hammers have ended in defeats and Conte will want his side to turn it around.
With Tottenham's improvement under the Italian and the strength they have added this summer, they may fancy their chances in the second London derby of the season.
Fulham (H) - September 3
The Lilywhites' next opponents will be another newly promoted side, Fulham. Marco Silva got a point out of their first fixture, which was against Liverpool.
Their first result means a match against them shouldn't be taken lightly and Tottenham will have to be right up for it to get all three points. However being in N17 should hopefully again give them a boost.
Man City (A) - September 10
Man City would usually be a daunting fixture for Spurs and although it still will be, their record against Pep Guardiola's side last season may give them some confidence. Tottenham beat City twice last season, producing solid performances in both games.
The Lilywhites are wanting to close the gap between them and the title holders and it is a great chance to show how far they have come in the last year or so.
