Tottenham's next five Premier League fixtures compared with Liverpool, Newcastle and Man United

Tottenham Hotspur extended their positive run of form with a comfortable 2-0 win over Chelsea.

Second half goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane were enough to seal the three points against a Chelsea side who failed to lay a glove on the home side. Spurs have now won four of their last five matches in the Premier League and with the win, tightened their grip on fourth spot amid Newcastle United's Carabao Cup final exploits.

Antonio Conte's side now face a crucial run of matches across three competitions in the coming weeks ahead of the March international break. So, with that in mind, football.london has now taken a closer look at Tottenham's league fixtures in comparison to their fellow top-four rivals.

Wolves (A) - March 4

Wolves have been in much better form since Julen Lopetegui's arrival in the managerial dugout towards the latter stages of last year, though a defeat to Bournemouth and draw at Fulham has hampered that momentum somewhat. Either way, they have shown clear signs of improvement under the Spaniard and a trip to Molineux looks a much more difficult prospect than before the international break.

When Tottenham took on Wolves in N17 they were able to bag all three points thanks to Harry Kane, who netted the only goal of the game. A similar result would be huge for Spurs.

Nottingham Forest (H) - March 11

When Spurs played Forest at the City Ground back in August, the scoreline was 2-0 to the away side but it could have easily gone the other way in what was a hugely thrilling end-to-end game. Kane scored both of the goals that day as well, also missing a penalty in the process.

Forest have begun to put a decent run of games together recently, losing just two of their last eight outings, holding the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea to 1-1 draws in that time. They were, however, beaten 4-0 at West Ham on Saturday and their away form has been poor all season, picking up just six points in 12 matches.

Southampton (A) - March 18

Spurs then take on another team towards the bottom of the table when they travel to St Mary's to face Southampton. The Saints are currently rooted to the bottom of the table following a run of defeats that saw former head coach Nathan Jones relieved of his duties last week.

Following Jones' dismissal, Southampton picked up a huge 1-0 win at Chelsea but defeat at Leeds United on Saturday put them right back to square one. With just six points at St. Mary's all season, this is another big chance to pick up a victory.

Everton (A) - April 1

Everton are another team to sack their manager since the turn of the year, replacing Frank Lampard with veteran coach Sean Dyche. The Toffees have won two of their four outings since Dyche's arrival, including a 1-0 triumph over Tottenham's local rivals Arsenal.

They have tightened up their defence massively since appointing the former Burnley boss, having previously leaked a high volume of goals during Lampard's time at Goodison Park. That said, a 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend was a major reality check.

Brighton (H) - April 8

Arguably the toughest fixture of Spurs' next five comes in April when they host Brighton. The Seagulls are among a host of sides in the running for a European spot after some impressive form under Roberto de Zerbi.

At this stage, this has the makings of a very important match with Brighton 10 points adrift of Spurs, but with three games in hand. Brighton love controlling possession and so Spurs will be hoping they can hit them on the counter to get the win.

Manchester United next five fixtures:

Liverpool (A) - March 5

Southampton (H) - March 11

Brighton & Hove Albion (A) - March 19

Newcastle United (A) - April 1

Everton (H) - April 8

Newcastle next five fixtures:

Manchester City (A) - March 4

Wolves (H) - March 12

Nottingham Forest (A) - March 17

Manchester United (H) - April 1

Brentford (A) - April 8

Liverpool next five fixtures:

Wolves (H) - March 1

Manchester United (H) - March 5

Bournemouth (A) - March 11

Fulham (H) - March 18

Manchester City (A) - April 1
