Beating bitter rivals Arsenal to a crucial Champions League spot, topping the Champions League group and sitting in the top four at Christmas.
On the face of it, it doesn't seem like a bad 2022 for Antonio Conte's Spurs side. As with any year there have been downs as well as ups including some recent disappointing defeats, but Tottenham's performances across the calendar year leave them in good stead heading into the second half of the season after the World Cup break.
One thing that has remained a constant in 2022 is the undeniable importance of Harry Kane to any success that could arrive in N17. Once more the shining Lilywhite light in north London, Kane has continued to flourish in yet another new system for Spurs' record goal-scorer in waiting.
Meanwhile, a key factor in Spurs pipping their rivals to 4th spot was the blistering form of their South Korean talisman as he secured an unlikely Golden Boot given he had only scored eight league goals by January. Whilst Son has not been at his best this current season, the sheer quality of his form earnt him the nomination amongst nine others for this year's gong.
Last season the award was a sweep for Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, so with two Tottenham players nominated Spurs fans can have their say by taking part in the vote below, or by clicking here if the widget does not display.
As well as the overall award, Spurs fans also have the chance to vote for the Tottenham Fans' Footballer of the Year award. Chief Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold put forward his nominations for the award as seen below.
So be sure to have your say by casting your vote and leaving a comment on who your stand-out Spurs performer of 2022 has been.
Alasdair's picks:
Rodrigo Bentancur
Rodrigo Bentancur has made a great impact since joining Tottenham back in January. He immediately became one of Antonio Conte's trusted lieutenants, forging a strong partnership with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
He dictates games for Antonio Conte's side, with quick and precise passing helping to swift quickly from defence to attack, coupled with an aggressive tackling instinct - and he's also starting to chip in with his fair share of goals, too, adding four in the Premier League and another in the Champions League this season.
Signed for just £15.8m, payable within three financial years, with up to £5m more on top if specific 'performance objectives' are met, he has already proved to be a bargain January deal for Spurs.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Hojbjerg has faced a number of challenges this year at Tottenham - namely keeping his place in the team with Fabio Paratici bringing the likes of Bentancur and Yves Bissouma to north London. But he's come through those threats well.
While he will never be the most dynamic of central midfielders, he consistently offers a solid base upon which Spurs' attacks can be built. But along with his Uruguayan teammate, Hojbjerg has also added goals to his game, already beating his 21/22 total of three with this season's output in less than half the games.
Harry Kane
What more can you say about Harry Kane? 25 Premier League goals in this calendar year plus another eight assists, his importance to Tottenham has never waned. Following a difficult year in which questions were asked about his future in north London - Kane helped form a devastating attack alongside Son Heung-min and new arrival Dejan Kulusevski in the second half of the 2021/22 season.
Dejan Kulusevski
Another January arrival from Juventus alongside Bentancur, he has added a much-needed edge on the right side of Spurs' attack. His absence due to a hamstring injury recently has only underlined his importance to a squad that was previously too reliant on Kane and Son to provide moments of magic.
His lightning start to life in England brought five goals and eight assists in the first half of the year, and he's added another goal and five more assists this season - a stunning 19 goal involvements in 27 Premier League games.
