Tottenham's fixtures for the 2022/23 Premier League season have been set - for now. It will be a campaign like no other, with a break in the middle for the World Cup, later this year.
Spurs' first match will welcome Southampton to N17 and the final day of the season will see Antonio Conte's side travel to Elland Road. In between there are some tough Premier League fixtures, which will then be packed with domestic cup matches either side.
Tottenham's fourth place finish last season means they will also have Champions League football to play in the next campaign, as they make their return to the top European competition. This means there will be even fewer gaps between matches and only adds to the difficult nature of the season ahead.

After Spurs' opening match against Southampton, they travel to Stamford Bridge in their first away tie of the season, before welcoming Wolves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The rest of September has matches of varying difficulty involved, before the crazy run October brings.
The first day of the month sees the Lilywhites travel to the Emirates Stadium. Last season this ended in a 3-1 defeat for Spurs and Conte won't want a repeat of that in his first away North London derby.
Just a few days after and Tottenham face their third Champions League match of the group stage. The group stage draw isn't until August 25, so there is still some time before Spurs find out their opponents.
A few days after the European tie and Conte's side will have another away trip, this time to the Amex Stadium (on October 8), to face Brighton. If the Champions League game is an away tie, it would be three away games in a row, which would be a tough week for the Lilywhites.
European football is only round the corner after the trip south, and Tottenham will then play their fourth group game. That doesn't come long before their next fixture, which will be a clash at N17 with Everton.
There is then about a 10-day gap before more Champions League fun, but Spurs still don't get to enjoy a full week's rest. The Premier League fixtures have thrown a mid-week game at them, with a trip to Old Trafford just four days after the home tie against Frank Lampard's side.
The lack of rest between matches did affect Tottenham's consistency last season but Conte will have to hope this doesn't happen during the next campaign as the October matches don't stop there. On October 22, Spurs will return to home turf for the next tie, which will be against Newcastle.
The final European match of the group comes, yet again, days later, and the final fixture of October will see Tottenham travel to face newly-promoted Bournemouth. That is a total of nine matches in exactly four weeks for Spurs.
This will be a very hectic time for Conte and his side, just two weeks before the break for the World Cup - with a Carabao Cup tie thrown in for good measure early in November. This could maybe work in Tottenham's favour with players knowing a break is looming, but for those heading to the international competition, they won't want to risk any injury.
Either way, Spurs will have to work hard and hope for the best, when the busy time comes around.
