Tottenham predicted team vs Burnley: Illness forces Antonio Conte into attacking change

Antonio Conte could be forced into a change to his Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up to face Burnley in the north London side's penultimate Premier League match of the season.

Spurs moved to within a point of Arsenal with their 3-0 victory against their local rivals on Thursday night. The Gunners still hold the initiative in the fourth place race but Tottenham must do their job and win their remaining two matches to heap the pressure on Mikel Arteta's men to not drop any points.

Tottenham can reclaim fourth spot for at least a day if they can beat relegation-battling Burnley, before Arsenal travel to play Newcastle on Monday night.

The lack of time between Spurs' matches, less than 72 hours, means one regular starter is a doubt. football.london understands that Dejan Kulusevski has been feeling unwell in recent days - not Covid-related - and his status will be assessed on Sunday morning as to whether he can start, be on the bench or must miss out entirely.

If the Swede cannot take his place in the starting line-up then Lucas Moura or Steven Bergwijn will come into the team. Conte has preferred the Brazilian on the right when he has used him, with Lucas starting against Leicester last weekend.

Cristian Romero will miss out on the match with his hip injury and while Conte does not believe the Argentine will return this season, the Spurs boss has stated that the defender is desperate to be fit for the final match at Norwich. Davinson Sanchez will likely take his place on the right of the back three again after filling in well against Arsenal.

Elsewhere Conte must decide whether to bring in any fresh faces like Harry Winks or Joe Rodon with so little time between matches or try to push through with the same remaining players after what was a comfortable second half against the Gunners.

Here is the team we reckon Conte will select:

3-4-3: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Lucas, Kane, Son.
