Tottenham player ratings vs West Ham: Ivan Perisic impressive but Yves Bissouma erratic on full debut

Tottenham maintained their unbeaten start to the season but had to settle for a point at West Ham after a tight 1-1 draw.

Thilo Kehrer turned into his own net to give Spurs a first-half lead following a lightning counter attack but Tomas Soucek equaliser after the break.

Dan Kilpatrick was at the London Stadium to rate the Spurs players...

Hugo Lloris 5

On the 10th anniversary of his signing, the goalkeeper invited pressure by sending a kick straight out of ball before the Hammers equaliser, and was jittery in possession.

Davinson Sanchez 5

Dragged out of position by Fornals for West Ham’s best chance of the first half, which Antonio fired on to the post, and beaten by Soucek for the goal. Struggled with West Ham’s press.

Eric Dier 7

A valuable last line of defence, helping to snuff out more than one West Ham attack. Looked more comfortable in possession than his defensive colleagues.

Ben Davies 6

Did OK defensively and linked up well with Perisic on the left, getting into some dangerous positions in the final third.

Emerson Royal 5

Offered little attacking threat down the right, aside from one piece of skill and cross late on. Does Conte consider Matt Doherty a legitimate option from the bench? If so, strange he wasn’t called for.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 6

Caught the eye in the first half with some surging runs and clever switches of play. Less influential after the break following a crunching challenge from Declan Rice.

Yves Bissouma 6

A little erratic on his full debut, no helped by a first-half booking for petulantly throwing the ball away.

Ivan Perisic 7

Quietly impressive but switched off for the West Ham goal. Intelligent with the ball and sent in some excellent crosses.

Dejan Kulusevski 7

Impressive decision-making again for the own goal and looked the likliest of Spurs’ front three to make something happen in possession.

Heung-min Son 5

Showed a glimpse of his best with a run and shot with deflected just over but below par again. He as good as forced Kehrer into turning into his own net, though.

Harry Kane 6

His cross forced the own goal after a clever one-two with Kulusevski and he was involved in Spurs’ best moments, including a volley which was easily saved.

Subs

Richarlison (Kulusevski 76’) 6

Immediately made a difference with a dart down the right and pass to Kane but didn’t have enough time to make a serious impact.
