Tottenham player ratings vs West Ham: Emerson Royal stars, Son back with a bang as Skipp shines

Fraser Forster

Didn't have much to do until a good low save from Bowen moments after Emerson's second half goal. 7

Cristian Romero

More like his old self with aggressive, front foot defending but keeping on the right side of the line. Needed treatment for a blister in the warm-up but it didn't hinder a performance that took him up and down the pitch in an energetic showing. 8

Eric Dier

Other than a couple of wayward long balls he didn't do much wrong in his battles with Antonio. 7

Clement Lenglet

A nervy start and was dispossessed a couple of times. Took a big whack to the head towards the end of the first half but improved as the game wore on. 6

Emerson Royal

A constant busy presence down the right and he got his reward when he sprinted through the centre to fire home from Davies' pass on 56 minutes. Had the fans singing "Emerson Royal, he scores when he wants" and his confidence was soaring in the second half with sliding tackles and flicks galore. Pedro Porro's arrival appears to have only galvanised the Brazilian. 9

Oliver Skipp

A bright start for the 22-year-old but he did pick up a yellow card just eight minutes in for a late tackle on Antonio. Had a volley deflected wide soon after. He showed a real maturity with that booking to his name and won almost everything he had to, with some tidy passing and a few driving runs, one of which saw him tee up Davies for a shot. Got a standing ovation from the crowd when he went off late on. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

The experienced man alongside Skipp and he played a sublime defence-splitting pass to put Davies through for Emerson's goal. A good display from the Dane. 8

Ben Davies

Took a little while to get used to the wing-back role but when he did he made a great run down the left to get on to Hojbjerg's ball and then grabbed an assist with a perfectly-weighted pass to Emerson. Sent a shot into the side-netting not long after following a Skipp run. 7

Dejan Kulusevski

Lacking in confidence with the ball in the first half but he improved as the game wore on and became a real nuisance to the visitors, having one shot parried by the keeper. 7

Harry Kane

Used his physicality against the West Ham defenders and that was perfectly encapsulated with Spurs' second goal as he won the ball back and threaded a pass through to Son to score. 7

Richarlison

Struggled in the first half to find a way through with some heavy touches. Improved with a couple of chances either side of the break before being taken off for Son. 5

Subs

Son Heung-min

Responded once again to being named on the bench by scoring, this time running through on to Kane's pass, taking a great touch and burying his shot. Was a real livewire in his 20 minutes or so from the bench with a driving run or two through the centre. 8

Ivan Perisic

Played one good ball down the left for Kane but also put in a couple of late tackles towards the end of the game, earning himself a booking. 5

Pape Matar Sarr

Replaced Skipp for the final minutes. N/A

Lucas Moura

Back on the pitch for Spurs in replacing Kulusevski late on. N/A
