Fraser Forster
Had nothing really to do other than make some catches from corners and free-kicks before being beaten low down by Ndiaye's shot, which wrong-footed him. 5
Davinson Sanchez
Showed his rustiness with a shaky start but played a good ball through to Richarlison only for the Brazilian to fire over. His mistakes often look particularly clumsy and there was another big slip under no pressure in the second half. He then was one of the defenders to let Ndiaye easily drift past him. 3
Eric Dier
Made a few forays forward and ended the game on the right of the back three but he couldn't influence proceedings and turned his back on Ndiaye's shot. 5

Ben Davies
One of the less culpable players in the back five and did much of what he had to do on the left. 6
Pedro Porro
A couple of early nervy moments but he steadily improved and adjusted to the swirling wind and rain. He could have done better with Hojbjerg's diagonal ball, making a great run but then curling his left-footed shot over the bar. However, he was so weak for United's goal as Ndiaye eased away from him. 5
Pape Matar Sarr
Composed most of the time apart from a very late sliding challenge on Doyle that earned him a yellow card. Replaced by Skipp with just over 15 minutes to go. 5
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Almost gifted the hosts a goal late in the first half with a header back to Forster falling short but fortunately Coulibaly fired wide. Played a good diagonal ball into Porro to set up a second half chance but this was not one of his best displays. Another who didn't try to tackle Ndiaye as he ran. 5
Ivan Perisic
Took a big hit to his shin from a challenge from Baldock but managed to shake it off. Got down the left a few times but his delivery was not great. 4
Lucas Moura
A bright start for the Brazilian and he was constantly coming deep to fill the spaces Kane would take. He sent one cross on to the crossbar in the first half. However, familiar issues arose as he ran with the ball past defenders into blind alleys. 4
Richarlison
Started in the central attacking role and should have done better with a chance set up by Sanchez midway through the first half. Sent another effort wildly off target in the second half and was replaced by Kane after the hour mark. Lacking service but a poor day at the office whenever he did get the ball. 3
Son Heung-min
Plenty of runs but with nothing at the end of it. He just couldn't influence the game. 4
Subs
Harry Kane
Came on and barely touched the ball other than a late weak header. 4
Dejan Kulusevski
Came on down the right and worked hard, eventually as a wing-back, but to no avail and he was left standing for United's goal. 5
Oliver Skipp
Brought some bite to the midfield for the final 15 minutes and forward passing but to no avail. 5
Arnaut Danjuma
Entered the game late but couldn't make any impact. N/A
