Hugo Lloris
Saved low down from Cash in the 14th minute and soon after made a great close range palm away from Ramsey's point blank shot before making it a hat-trick of saves by pushing away McGinn's rocket from distance. Made another save before the break as he gathered at the second attempt from Cash's volley and an even better one right on the line to stop Coutinho's swerving free-kick from out wide. In all he made seven saves in the first half. He then turned creator with a pre-assist, firing a long accurate kick for Kane to head on to Kulusevski to score. Had relatively nothing to do in the second half but it was a deserved rest after his crucial first half. 10
Cristian Romero
The Argentine made a couple of big challenges in the first half to stop Villa attacks. He also pinged the diagonal ball that Kane flicked on to Son. Also crucially managed to avoid a yellow card, which means he can't now reach 10 Premier League bookings from his eight and a ban before they are wiped out after next weekend's match against Brighton. He punched the air after a late interception in the box. 8

Eric Dier
A couple of shaky moments in the first half but on the whole he dealt with most things that came his way to help Spurs keep a clean sheet despite the pressure in that first half. 7
Ben Davies
Another solid battling display on the left of the defence as he mopped up much of what came his way. 7
Emerson Royal
Plenty of overhit or misplaced passes in the first half in a shaky display but he improved as the second half wore on and he got plenty of space to push forward and draw players away from Kulusevski. 6
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Lead Spurs in the centre of the pitch with his battling and soaking up the tackles that rained in on him. Big performance from the Dane. 9
Rodrigo Bentancur
Another composed display from the Uruguayan. He was pulled in deep by Villa's first half attacks but he stood firm on the whole. 7
Matt Doherty
Picked up a painful knock to his right knee early on which required two bouts of treatment before he had to leave the action after 20 minutes. 5
Dejan Kulusevski
Quiet in the first half but he made a big impact after the break, running on to Kane's flick on and burying a shot in the far corner to double Spurs' lead. He then battled to poke a pass through to Son to set up a chance soon after and then grabbed an assist by teeing up Son's third goal from a move he started with great feet on the edge of his own box. A huge second period from the Swede. 8
Harry Kane
Struggled to make an impact along with most other Spurs players in the first half but grabbed an assist soon into the second period with a flicked header into Kulusevski's pass. He added another assist soon after with a perfect spinning header into Son's path. Two more assists and a big contribution in the second half. 8
Son Heung-min
Got Spurs off to a great start within three minutes with a perfect low volley in off the left-hand post after Kane's blocked shot bounced his way. Had another chance early in the second half but a slightly heavy touch took the ball into the keeper's arms as he ran through. However, he more than made up for that by sealing his hat-trick, the first running through and clinically burying a shot inside the left-hand post and then not long after he curled a shot in off that same piece of woodwork. Came off and got a big hug from Conte. 10
Subs
Sergio Reguilon
Called into the action after just 20 minutes. Had a shot that was deflected into the goalkeeper by Mings not long before half-time. Stretched Villa down the left albeit without too much quality in the final third. 6
Lucas Moura
Replaced Son late on and didn't add much to the attacking efforts. 5
Steven Bergwin
Came on for Kulusevski for the final minutes and tried to make things happen. N/A
