Tottenham player ratings: Harry Kane outstanding, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Doherty and Son shine

Hugo Lloris

Made a brave save low down on 37 minutes from a low cross. However, he had a massive let on with just over 15 minutes to go. He reached a loose ball as Leeds broke but hit it straight against Dallas, then tried to trip him up with his hand midway in his own half, but fortunately missed and Davies rescued him by blocking the shot in the box. Could have got himself sent off at 3-0 up for no reason. Didn't have much to do but loses two points for the double mistake up the pitch. 5

Cristian Romero

Lost Struijk for an early Leeds free-kick but fortunately the Leeds man's header flashed wide. Improved after that even though Spurs' defence looked shaky at times despite the clean sheet. 7

Eric Dier

Plenty of interceptions in the air and on the deck. The defence definitely benefits from him being in there. 7

Ben Davies

Worked hard down the left to provide cover behind Sessegnon and made a crucial sliding block to rescue Lloris which elevates his score above his fellow centre-backs. 8

Matt Doherty

Scored his first goal for Tottenham with a clinical and powerful finish from Sessegnon's low cross. Moments later he combined with Kulusevski for Spurs' second goal. Almost set up Sessegnon for a goal with a low ball into the box. A good day for the Irishman who played well at both ends of the pitch. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Picked out Kane with a lovely chipped pass for Tottenham's third goal. Used the ball well when Spurs broke and worked hard in front of the back three. 8

Harry Winks

Played a perfectly weighted ball into the path of Sessegnon in the build-up to Tottenham's opening goal. A good showing from the midfielder against a high energy Leeds midfield. 8

Ryan Sessegnon

This was the Ryan Sessegnon we wanted to see. Leeds' open nature was simply encouraging him to get forward and he did so in dangerous fashion. First he burst towards the box and picked out Doherty for his opening goal. He then played a part in the build-up to Spurs' third goal before running on to a Kane ball and sending a half-volley at Meslier. Was handicapped somewhat by a yellow card in the second half and gave the ball away sloppily for the break that Lloris had a nightmare with, but this was much better on the whole from the 21-year-old and he was inches away from sliding in a goal himself. 8

Dejan Kulusevski

Combined with Doherty before beating some weak Leeds challenges and then rifling home a low shot inside the near post to make it two goals in three starts. Was always busy and looking to get into the box. Had another two low shots in the second half, one saved and the other blocked in front of goal. Looks a real prospect at just 21. 8

Harry Kane

He got in on the goal action with an expertly guided volley from Hojbjerg's lofted pass across Meslier and inside the far post from a tight angle. He sprayed so many excellent through balls in the second half to set up various big chances for others, including a big chance for Emerson before he finally got the assist he deserved with a perfect ball into Son's path for Spurs' third goal. Was Tottenham's Eriksen and Kane wrapped into one on the day and he could have ended it with a hatful of assists. 9

Son Heung-min

Carved out a couple of chances for himself in either half with good runs but ended them with weak shots. He was full of running though and dribbled around Leeds at will. He got his goal in the final five minutes, chesting down Kane's pass, running on and powering home past Meslier. It was the goal that made Son and Kane the sole record holders with 37 goal combinations in the Premier League. 8

Subs

Steven Bergwijn

Added some energy to Spurs' attacks and chipped a pass into Son late on. 6

Emerson Royal

Denied by Meslier with a big chance when he probably should have been more decisive as he ran on to Kane's pass. 6

Dane Scarlett

Replaced Son in the final minutes and showed some nice footwork and touches. N/A
