Tottenham 'plan immediate swoop for midfielder' as Jose Mourinho plots Spurs transfer reunion

Tottenham's dramatic 3-2 victory over Leicester City has continued the club's resurgence under Antonio Conte and business could now be on the cards in the transfer market.

Spurs leapfrogged north London rivals Arsenal with that win, a side who they still have a game in hand over and are due to play, putting the top-four battle in their own hands.

While January has been relatively quiet so far, that's set to change in the final weeks of the window and Spurs may well be active.

The Telegraph states Spurs are plotting a move this month for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in order to avoid a fight for his services in the summer.

The Ivorian is out of contract with the San Siro side at the end of the season and there is growing interest in his services.

Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs eyeing a move for Kessie this summer and it's stated Spurs want to complete a move now to jump to the front of the queue.

Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho could be set for a reunion with Spurs outcast Tanguy Ndombele as CalcioMercato state he's a 'dream' signing for Roma.

The Frenchman was booed off in the FA Cup victory over Morecambe and looks poised for an exit, though Roma may be unable to finance a deal in January.

Finally, new Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has poured cold water over Spurs' hopes of signing starlet Keane Lewis-Potter when speaking to the Mail.

Brentford and West Ham have also been attributed with an interest in the 20-year-old but Ilicali says there's no point in a quick sale.
