Tottenham's hopes of securing back-to-back Champions League finishes took a step in the right direction last night with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fulham. The game will be remembered for Harry Kane equalling Jimmy Greaves' record as Spurs' all-time top scorer with 266 goals.
The England international reached the landmark in first half injury time with a perfectly-placed attempt past Bernd Leno, scoring his 199th goal in 300 Premier League games for the club.
Kane's strike arguably came against the run of play at Craven Cottage, with Fulham having the better of the opportunities in the opening 45 minutes. However, Antonio Conte's men showed resilience to take the lead and hold on to a much needed victory.

Spurs currently sit three points behind Manchester United and Newcastle in the race for a top four finish. However, their Champions League rivals have a game in hand after last week's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City. Premier League football now takes a backseat to accompany the FA Cup this weekend prior to a hectic February.
Here, football.london takes a look at what's to come for Conte's side and how it compares to their top four rivals.
Tottenham's next five fixtures
Man City (H) - February 5
Next up for Spurs in a trip to Championship side Preston North End in the FA Cup. With the club not winning a trophy since 2008, it's unlikely that Conte will spring too many changes. League action returns the following Sunday with the immediate reverse fixture against title chasers Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola's side have closed the gap on Arsenal to five points after defeating Tottenham and Wolves last week. Should Spurs want to make a return to Champions League, turning up in tough fixtures is a must.
Leicester City (A) - February 11
In what has previously proved to be a difficult fixture for Spurs, a trip to Leicester City comes at the perfect time for Conte's side. Brendan Rodgers have lost all but one of their league fixtures since the return of domestic football and find themselves sat only one point above the relegation zone.
Against a side that has not won in the league since 2022, Tottenham will be hoping their key players will prove too hot to handle against the Foxes.
West Ham (H) - February 19
Another side struggling for form at the bottom of the table, West Ham visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the middle of February looking to deal their London rivals a blow to their end of season hopes.
David Moyes' men earned a vital 2-0 win over Everton to ease the pressure on the Hammers after finding themselves at the wrong end of the table. Similar to the Leicester trip, coming out on top in these fixtures will be vital to Spurs' top four ambitions.
Chelsea (H) - February 26
Next up for Conte's side is another London derby against Graham Potter's Chelsea. Like Leicester and West Ham, the Blues have struggled this term amid an overhaul of the playing squad at Stamford Bridge.
By the time this fixture takes place, Chelsea could be clicking with their six new recruits and become a serious Champions League contender. The fixture is a difficult one on the eye for Tottenham, with them failing to come out on top in the previous seven games - losing five.
Wolves (A) - March 4
The first game in March presents a tough trip to the West Midlands to face Julen Lopetegui's Wolves. The Wanderers have picked up form under the Spaniard's arrival but remain outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
Spurs have enjoyed their trips to Molineux in recent years and have not suffered defeat there since February 2010. Since Wolves' return to the top flight in 2018, all three defeats have been at home.
Manchester United next five fixtures:
Crystal Palace (H) - February 4
Leeds United (H) - February 8
Leeds United (A) - February 12
Leicester City (H) - February 19
Brentford (H) - February 26
Manchester United also face five cup fixtures during this run. They face two double headers against Nottingham Forest (January 25 and February 1) and Barcelona (February 16 and February 23) and host Reading in the FA Cup on January 28.
Liverpool next five fixtures:
Wolves (A) - February 4
Everton (H) - February 13
Newcastle (A) - February 18
Crystal Palace (A) - February 25
Manchester United (H) - March 4
Liverpool travel to Brighton on January 29 in the FA Cup fourth round before hosting Real Madrid on February 21 in the Champions League.
Newcastle next five fixtures:
West Ham (H) - February 4
Bournemouth (A) - February 11
Liverpool (H) - February 18
Brighton (H) - February 25
Man City (A) - March 4
Eddie Howe's men face Southampton tonight and next Tuesday in their Carabao Cup semi-final.
