Tottenham news: Two-year deal for wonderkid eyed as Christian Eriksen transfer touted

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Wednesday, March 30.

Spurs eye wonderkid deal

Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a two-year deal for academy wonderkid Leo Black. The midfielder has been impressing at youth level and the club are said to be keen on sealing a scholarship contract for the 16-year-old.

Football Insider state that the club want a deal done in the next couple of weeks. That comes after a "series of impressive displays", and Black is one of a number of players who have been offered fresh scholarship terms by the club with the current season winding down.

Serge Aurier picks up red card against England

Serge Aurier was sent off during the first half of Ivory Coast's friendly clash with England at Wembley on Tuesday. The former Tottenham star was initially booked for pulling back Jack Grealish, and received his second yellow card in the 40th minute for dissent.

Grealish appeared to plead with the referee not to dismiss the Ivorian captain in a bid to keep the friendly match at a competitive level, but to no avail. England were already 1-0 up through Ollie Watkins' tap-in after fine work from Raheem Sterling, and the Manchester City forward doubled their advantage just before the break.

Aurier spent four years with Spurs before his contract was cancelled last summer, he is now plying his trade with Spanish side Villarreal. During his time in north London he was often the target of fans' ire due to defensive lapses and the odd dismissal.

Fans want Eriksen back after Denmark goals

Christian Eriksen carried on his fine recent form with a goal on his return to Copenhagen's Parken Stadium, the same venue in which he suffered a cardiac arrest last year. The Denmark midfielder picked up the ball on the edge of the area and fired past Serbia stopper Predrag Dajkovic to seal a 3-0 win Tuesday.

The 30-year-old left Inter Milan last December and joined Brentford on a short term deal in January until the end of the season. And his remarkable return to form coupled with the fact that he's out of contract in the summer means that Eriksen is bound to be linked with a move away from Bees this summer.

And fans think a return to north London for the midfielder is a "no brainer". Read more here.
