Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Friday, June 3.
Spurs 'offered' Soucek
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered the chance to sign West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek. The 27-year-old Czech international is under contract at London Stadium until 2024, but talks over a near deal appear to be at an impasse.
According to a report from Football Insider, Soucek doesn't enjoy a good relationship with Hammers boss David Moyes, and Spurs have been offered the chance to sign the Czech international through agents. However, a deal is considered unlikely due to the historical relationship between the boardrooms of both clubs, caused in part by tensions over the London Stadium.
Soucek enjoyed a superb campaign in the 2020/21 season, scoring ten Premier League goals from midfield. His form dipped last term with just five top-flight goals. Nevertheless, he would provide competition and cover for Spurs if they could get a deal over the line.
Spurs' centre-back wish list
Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on signing two centre-backs this summer to bolster Antonio Conte's squad and fill some expected gaps.
Conte wants at least two new centre-backs to arrive at Spurs during the coming transfer window, particularly if either Joe Rodon or Japhet Tanganga head out of the club in the next two months in search of regular football. The head coach and Tottenham's managing director of football Fabio Paratici discussed their planned targets at a meeting in Turin on Friday.
The priority first is a left-sided centre-back for the back three to provide competition for Ben Davies, who was Conte's only real choice in that role last season. What does not help Spurs is that football.london understands the duo's top two left-footed targets for the role -Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol - are also among the most difficult to get at this moment in time.

Spurs and Everton lead chase for Kim Min-Jae
Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min-Jae has reportedly flown to England as Tottenham and Everton chase the signature of the South Korea international.
Antonio Conte is looking to put his mark on Tottenham in his first summer transfer window as manager. The January window saw him strengthen impressively, bringing in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, and fans will be hoping for more of the same this time around.
He has already made his first acquisition since the end of last term, bringing experienced and versatile winger Ivan Perisic in on a free transfer after his Inter Milan deal expired. But it does not look like being the last of their summer business, with Conte eager to cement his side in the Premier League top four.
